OT: Bars in Lennoxville

Anyone here familiar with Lennoxville/Sherbrooke/Magog? I will be down there next weekend, and I'm wonder where a good place to watch the Habs-Leafs game would be Saturday. Thanks in advance.

In Lennoxville, at the main intersection close to the university, there is the Lion Pub.
Very nice and they make their own beer !

There is this cheesy club in Magog, really nice in summer, full of young americans and ontarians ladies (which means, before they become fat...). I just don't remember the darn name...

It depends if you're a Leafs or Habs fan...

If you're a Habs fan, go to Sherbrooke/Magog
If you're a Leafs fan, go to Lennoxville...

I'm working in Lennoxville and let me tell you that you see a lot more Leafs jerseys than Habs jerseys there...

The best place in Lennoxville is without any doubt the Lion's Pub on the corner of Queen and College (corner of 143 and 108)... I'm hearing a lot of good words about it.

The Lion's is also operating a little brewing enterprise of itself, it's beer is a good seller in town.

I am actually going to BU

you're right most of leafs fans are out of towners, theres are more ottawa fans then leafs fans here...

If you want to watch the game, you can go to sebby's, that is probably the only place to watch the game and have a beer; if you want to go out, then the Lion (in front of the subway or the Gait ( the bar on campus, BU) are all indicated, and you can surely survive with a habs jersey in both places....

what happens is that all the locals are habs fans.. but the locals actually have houses so they can enjoy the game at home whereas all the students live in res and wander the streets with their ottawa/leafs jersey making them look more numerous when they really aren't

You're probably right! I'm just workng there, not living there... I was mistaken by all the Leafs jerseys I see when I work...

Sorry for the misleading...

It sucks that the Monaco burned a few years ago you could have had the best of time there.

If you're planning on going in Magog, try the Cafe St-Michel if you feel like going at a publike bar it's a nice place with a good crowd. There are TV`s though i'm not sure if they are turned on often.
ALternatively you could also go to the Liquor Store if you feel like dancing however depending on your age I might not recommend. I'm 22 and I rarely go there as there is a whole bunch of high school kids.
Last Option is l'hotel Union if you like non-respectable places that's where you should go.
There also are a whole bunch of minor bars but there all tiny ans as far as I know they may be worse then l'Union

hope that helps a bit

Thanks for the advice guys. I appreciate it!

I've been to the Liquor Store in Magog in the summer...that place is rockin' every year. And every year they ask me to take my hat off. Haha.

Exactly. The worst is, a former girlfriend of mine used to work at the Liquor Store in Quebec City.

But every time I go in Magog in the summer, it's like... Good idea to rent hotel rooms. As much rooms as we are (of guys heading there), unless we somehow have a camping ground near.

Why care when you're out of your town, and won't seeing those ladies anytime soon, anyways? BTW, I'm 25 YO... and I would NOT want to get a 25 YO and + lady at the Liquor Store, in the summer...Most are from Ontario and USA.... thus most are starting not to be very good looking at this stage of their "career". As long as I'm over the 20 YO mark, it's okay...
