If he becomes another Toews, I'll be thrilled. The good news is that the kid has all the tools.

If...

A.Galchenyuk = J.Toews.
B.Gallagher = B.Marchand.
M.Pacioretty = B.Ryan. (less hands).

Bobby Ryan - Jonathan Toews - Brad Marchand could be great 1st line

good comparisons. The guy I see Galchenyuk style similar to is Jonathan Toews. Good comparison on Bobby Ryan and Max Pacioretty.

And when we look at Toews' line in Chicago, it's not like he needs 2 superstars aside of him. A guy like Pacioretty could be just fine.
For the right spot, would like to see Gallagher as well, but if McCarron can do what Bickell was doing during the last playoffs, I'll be even more thrilled!!!

Honestly, it's time to create a Pacioretty-Galchenyuk chemistery ASAP.

No point in forcing it by the time Galchenyuk is our first line center they will come together naturally.

I just hope to god that Therrien doesn't think that because Gally was good with Eller on the third line that's where they should start again next season... that's all I ask for. Let them prove themselves first. Galchenyuk as a center (takes Eller's spot) and Eller moves up a line as our 2nd line centerr /1b.

I'm pretty sold on the idea that AG is one too.

His production and performance for the circumstances (we all know them by now and I'm too lazy to write them) are pretty special. He's got all the tools.

I have very limited knowledge of prospects but he's probably the most skilled player under 20 besides Drouin and unlike Drouin he has the size and a very 'projectable frame'.

You guys shouldn't abuse the term generational talent.

The number of generational talents in a sport at any given time is 0,1, or 2.

But then if we consider OV one then theres no way we can not include Stamkos... and so on and so forth.

IMO only Crosby has that kind of impact on the game right now.

He was already ripped, but he might have bulked up a bit. See this post last year.

Because when playing your off-wing, its alot harder defensively, you are always on your back-hand, and really don't see the ice the same way.

This thread has gotten awfully creepy. No, I'm not surprised he looks cut after following a healthy diet / program and throwing some Instagram filters on top of it. It would be alarming if he wasn't.

I guess you could say that picture is creating another type of prospect boner.

Normally (Emphasis on normally) prospects struggle in their sophomore year. If Galchenyuk does, be sure to see a bunch of "Trade Galchenyuk" threads.

Dastyuk generational talent? Seriously? If anything, Malkin is boderline. Datsyuk never even been a 100 points player in this league.

personally i don't know if Galchenyuk will put up 100 points like Malkin, however with that said, I think he has the talent to become a superstar just not 100 points guy. Why? because he cares too much about playing a 2 way game, he'll be a point per game player much like Jonathan Toews. I don't know if he's as sick as Datsyuk however he's got some very good moves. The problem is Galchenyuk doesn't have top flight speed like Malkin, Crosby, but he does have excellent hands and hockey sense.

You make it sound as if he's unable to crack the 100 point-mark. In 2008, Datsyuk had 97 points in 82 games, 23 points in 22 playoff games, on his way to winning the Stanley Cup, the Selke and the Lady Byng award. Players who are that dominant both offensively and defensively (while playing a clean game) rarely come around. And yes, I do consider him a very unique generational talent.

I see galchenyuk becoming a 85-95 points player but sadly I don't think he will ever hit 100 points. Just a gut fealling that's all. Hopefully he can become a decent faceoff guy we all know how faceoffs are important even in the offensive zone. Starting with the puck in the offensive zone would definitely bring he's point total up.
