I don't even want to read the article for fear of seeing the words: High ankle sprain.

Typical panic stricken Habs fans.

So....when we lost Koivu, Kovalev, and Plekanec at the same time last season, how many moves did Gainey make?

We will miss him, but it's not like it's the end of the world.

Move Johnson up to Kovalev's wing. Move Perezhogin to Koivu's wing. Move Downey up to Bonk + Begin's wing (re-unite that line). Bring up Lapierre to play on the 4th line.

And if by some stroke of bad luck [sarcasm] he isn't able to perform, we atleast have points machine Kositsyn to call up. Oh boy.

I think everyone should calm down. This is a test; and we'll likely come out the stronger because of it. I personally think ('strong hope' is perhaps better terminology) that we'll see the number two line click into high[er] gear.

He may have been our best player so far and losing him for so long is a terrible shame, but I think the team deserves a little more credit than you are giving them. We may well not be as good with him on the sidelines, but the team isn't crippled. They will get through it and hopefully step up their game so he won't feel the need to rush back into action.

Anyways, I hope the recovery goes very well for him. Was looking forward to seeing him in action against Tampa next week which will be on TV here. Get better soon Chris

You're clearly a big fan of his, hopefully the boys will still give you plenty of reason to cheer tonight, even if Higgins isn't playing.

Not to overstate the importance of Higgins here but...He's been our BEST player so far this year. Great on the PP, deadly on the PK, the guy does it all. This will hurt the chemistry for sure. Remember last year at this time?? I just hope one of the kids can step into that spot, and it won't be Lats.

First off, Bonk was perfectly fine WITHOUT Johnson last season down the stretch and in the playoffs. We need to give Bonk more credit here.

So Perezhogin is making that line go? What have they done except for a few spurts? Give me a break.

Latendresse is not ready for anything beyond six minutes per game. Bringing up Lapierre is the 4th line replacement (or if you prefer put him on the 3rd to take over from Johnson).

This team is better with Higgins, but they are not terrible without him either.
