Time will tell, but both may never play in the NHL.

Andre Tourigny is very in love with Andrighetto, and he wanted this kid in 4th round.

Andre Tourigny --> "Kucherov is one of the best junior players in the world, a second round draft choice of the Tampabay Lightning, and Andrighetto has shown that he's not too far from him. And when I say 'not far', it might be 'not far ahead'."

How old are you? You remind me of the younger me with D'Agostini.

Hmmm....I like the pick, don't get me wrong. But you just might, single-handedly, make Sven an over-rated prospect.

Key word here is junior. Could be the next Corey Locke for all we know.

Jonathan Drouin is in the same league as Sven Andrighetto ...

I'm just saying Andrighetto is very great and underrated prospect..

What does Drouin have to do in this?

And Corey Locke was way more dominant in the OHL than Sven in the QJMHL. He was also dominant in the AHL, but could never get it done in the NHL.

Putting Andrighetto 5 on your prospect list is kinda overrating him.

He's an intriguing prospect, I agree with you there, but I'm not ready to call him a stud just yet.

The depth of talent in the Habs system will pay off in the future. The Black Aces working out in Brossard awaiting the call to join the Habs when someone is injured or needs a game rest in the playoffs. There are quite a few prospects coming that can snipe and dangle, something the Habs always had in the 70's. Sven could be one of those called up, or Lehkonen, possibly Reway and the beat goes on!

Every year we have threads like this, about the 'Timmins steal' in the later rounds that will shine in the NHL...and every year I'm disappointed I never see the kid after his days in Hamilton.

One day, just one day... I want to see kids that Timmins 'absolutely stole' in the later rounds, make it. I don't include P.K here because that son of a gun was a wildcard.

Subban says HI!

I like Halak but he was, IMO, given a carte blanche by some fans. No pressure.
Back to prospects like getto, interesting reads for a boring summer.

If Ghetto doesn't score 50 goals in the AHL this year, he's a bust and this organization knows jack ****.

There was zero threads about Gallagher being the next 'great' young player, more people questioned the pick than applauded it. So if BG is the only player you can think of, I think I proved my point. There have been threads from players like Leblanc to Duncan Milroy, to the great Josef Balej. Seems like yesterday posters here were saying Cory Urquhart and Christopher Heino-Lindberg were the absolute steals of the 2003 draft.

Ben Maxwell was our diamond in the rough at one point, Nattinen was going to solve our problems at center and Morgan Ellis was a 'sure thing'.

So forgive me for taking a 'wait and see' attitude on our budding superstars in the juniors, but I've seen this routine for too long to get excited just yet.

1) Gotta love how you ignore the other names mentionned above your post like Kostitsyn, Halak, Grabovski.
2) Ellis only has 1 pro season under his belt so a bit early to throw in the towel for him.
3) Your Gallagher comment is complete BS, aside from the ignorant ''moar size'' crowd most people were pleased by the pick. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...ndan+gallagher
4) Obviously people didn't expect him to have the impact he had this season but they certainly expected him to become an NHLer at one point, especially considering the fact that he was the last player to be cut at our camp in 2011-2012.
