Forsberg frustrated by refs calls, losing

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?ID=182826&hubName=nhl

Quote:
The Philadelphia Flyers captain says he was so angry after Thursday's 5-2 loss to Tampa Bay that he left the arena without talking to the media to avoid a possible fine for criticizing officials.

With 4:10 left in the third period and the Flyers trailing 3-2, Forsberg was whistled for a high-sticking penalty. When he argued the call, he was assessed a double minor for high-sticking and unsportsmanlike conduct, plus a 10-minute misconduct, knocking him out of the game for the final minutes.

"I was just so mad, I knew I was going to get fined if I said anything," Forsberg said Friday after practice.

Yup, he cares. Sometimes maybe too much. I still remember when he played on MoDo and broke his stick on the final whistle, and said he'd like to punch the ref afterwards on the interview.

Commentators acted like virgins and talked about mentally unstable and other crap. He showed alot of emotions that time, when he cares he really cares. I'm a MoDo fan, but that game was crap when it comes to ref's... they ruined it.

He likes to win, when he doesnt he get's frustrated. I thought showing heart was a good thing. Some call him a whiner but that's just low.

I´ve never seen a hockeyplayer dominate the way Forsberg did in that series. That´s what "carrying a team on your back" really means, he singlehandedly took them to the semifinals.

And yeah, he was pissed as hell after the last game, hehe.. There´s a clip on youtube about it.

I just think he's passionate.

I feel bad for Forsberg, but I've heard he's been known to feign calls, so that's probably why the refs didn't call the penalty against him, because a lot of refs just ignore him because he has a "bad rep."

It's not a matter of passion.

He hates to lose, no matter what.

Several team mates from Tre Kronor has stated that Foppa is out from any form of games and competitions. He gets so pissed by losing playing video games that they're afraid that he'll trash the hotel.

So he knew that had he talked to reporters after the game he would have done a repeat of his "he's so effing bad that I just wanna punch him".

And that would have generated more fines and bad will than just walking out

He's just saying that he was very disapointed with the ref, so disapointed that he wanted to knock his teeth in.

And in the end the reporter says: "Ice Hockey World Championships, it is now final that Mats Sundin is going to join the squad..."
Foppa abrupts him: "I don't give a **** about that now, I'm going home to take a shower!"

That is probably the most classic interview EVER in Swedish television. What makes it so good was that it was probably the best individual performance ever seen in Swedish hockey, single handedly taking MODO to finals and there making it five games.

Wish he could come back to his old self again.

Forsberg at -3 says alot. I cant remember the last time he started a season this bad. 4 assists in 12 games also tells u people arent burying his passes.

In fairness to his assist totals, he's been shooting a little more because he's trying to do it all himself. As well, Knuble being injured means he can't get those goals in front of the net off rebounds or slick centering passes. And on top of that, the PP is operating below 10% so if the PP isn't working, Forsberg isn't going to be getting points.

He's been a little off with his passing though, I think we're all content blaming it on his wrist injury and that he'll get back "on" in a matter of time.

Philly has traded him once.
Now trade him twice and you'll cry even more than the first time
