Longest hiatus from the ice?

I had major knee surgery in June and finally went back to skating today!! It felt pretty good, just open skate. It has been over 4 months. My longest period off my skates was 2 years.

You?

Since my Junior year in HS i haven't been away from the ice for more then a week. Now playing in 2 adult leagues I'm on the ice at least 2x a week but I usually play with bunch of friends every Thursday night as well.

I couldn't imagine not being able to play for 4 months

3.5 years. I had major hockey burnout and i was not having fun playing at all. Started playing again in April and enjoy every second of ice time I get.

Lets see 21 years. I was given the choice between playing Hockey & Skiing when I was about 6, I chose skiing. Then last year when I was 27 some buddies on my baseball team convinced me to try playing hockey. I had no idea how fun it was. I guess at 6 I just didn't give it a chance....

I'm still about 2 months away from playing. It was pretty bad-a$$ surgery.

Do you play at CP?

How about never, but I am going out on Thursday to get inline equipment. I have 3 roller hockey rinks behind my house and I have always wanted to play. Better late than never.

7 years. Hung up the skates after my last ever HS game, then ignored the game throughout college and a few years after, before I got caught up in the disease again. Now I'll never stop playing.

God, I love hockey.

9 months due to a back injury. I could have gotten back on the ice after 6 but I had alot going on at the time. I can't imagine not playing anymore.

i'm going on three months now. Just finished my college hockey tenure last season and kept going via mens league until around the middle of August when the docs found an issue with my heart. I've been going through testing ever since and my (hopefully) last test is this coming Friday. Hopefully i'll get some good news so I can skate again, if not it's gonna be a while lol

Twelve years between college and playing in an adult league. Still remember that first game back, had a few shifts and could barely lift my legs afterwards and the oh the pain the next day.

Not sure what CP is....I play in H.N.A. and I play in another adult league at one of my local rinks Westchester Skating Academy.
