Seeing a number 24 on our defense makes me cringe.

Not saying I agree with the rule, but shouldn't that flip of the ball by the Patriots RB to Kendricks have been a taunting penalty under the new rule?

Touchdown , 2 minutes of commercials , shows us the PAT , another 2 minutes of commercials , will most likely show us the Kick return , then another 2 minutes of commercials , don't you just love the NFL?

I know people like to hate on soccer for a variety of reasons, but nothing like watching an entire match (well, each half) of soccer without a commercial.

It's going to be hilarious watching Cole and Graham in pass coverage this year.

Who says Foles can't run the read option. Busts off a first down run and slides lol

So I'm really digging that no huddle offense. The whole offense looked pretty good.

The defense on the other hand...

They can't tackle to save their lives. Hopefully that's something they can work on in practice.

But overall, I'm very pleased so far.

This is what worries me the most. New offensive minded coach, new DC, switch to 3-4 (or 3-4 hybrid or whatever they want to call it), revamped secondary, etc. A lot to handle for one team in an off-season after they weren't very good last year. Gonna be a lot of games with 50+ total points methinks.

The Eagles ship already sank this year before they even stepped on the field last night. Everyone knew the defense would blow (and I am usually not one to make these types of statements after one pre-season game, but there really is no question about this defense). Just ride it out and get a high draft pick. The only possible way this team has any success is if the offense is so high powered that Defenses just can't stop them and they get involved in 50-45 shootouts every week.

At least they'll be fun to watch. I'd be fully behind a season where they win very few games have shoot-out games since it could mean a Bridgewater or Clowney come next years draft.

Surprised it took that long. He was pretty much the only half decent receiver Chip had at his time at Oregon.

They both looked good but I think Vick will be the starter for the Monday night in Washington unless he gets hurt.

It will be Vick, but I would go with Foles. Because I don't see the reason to even have him around. I'd rather lose under a new regime to find the QB of the future versus treading water with Vick for one year. Maybe I'm way wrong and he even gets extended, but I have no faith he'll stay healthy or stop the turnover problems. Just seems like a waste of time with Vick.

There are some pretty cool plays being run tonight. Offense has looked damn good, going to be a fun season in that regard.

Any chance Chip gets crazy and plays BOTH QBs regularly for different looks during a game?

The guy would have been a first round pick last year. I want to see what he's got. I don't have much optimism regardless of who the QB is this year.

Vick has looked better, but the bigger question is while he has the athletic skillset to best run Chip Kelly's ideal offense, does he have the ability to run it?

We've yet to see Vick run the fast-paced no-huddle to as successful an extent as Nick Foles has. However, Foles also has two bad TO's in his two games and tonight cost them 3 points with where they were.

I think Vick probably gives the Eagles the best chance to win more games because he can get hot and unless he gets hurt likely just make more plays...but I don't think the question should be about 2013, but beyond. I think that if Nick Foles is more likely to run the offense that Chip Kelly wants to run that it makes more sense to go with him to get your O-line, WR's, and RB's (most of whom will be here next year and you can't say the same for Vick) accustomed to that style going forward.

Even if Vick is the starter, it won't matter. He's made of glass. He'll be out by week 6.

Probably. I mean that play when he took off and ran and then dove between two defenders pretty much shows he has no sense when it comes to running. It's a friggin pre-season game and you're putting yourself at risk for a concussion after you're already past a first down and have plenty of room to just slide.
