Since when are the Dodgers a football team? Or did they add a kickoff rule in the postseason?

Well, actually, it would have been nice if Kent would have gone "Triple -T" on LoDuca the other day... we might be going back to LA 1-1.

I'm not even a HUGE Lyons fan, but I think it's a typical over-reaction from Fox. This politically correct BS is aggravating.

I thought Steve and Charlie were a good team as Dodger announcers on the road. This kind of sucks...

What a debacle that UCLA game was!!!

You just knew they were going to find a way to lose. The last 5 minutes of the game was some of the worst play calling I've ever seen, not to mention the clock mis-management and the apparent confusion from the coaching staff.

I thought the play calling on that one 4th and 1 was TERRIBLE. Once they emptied the backfield, IMO it made it SOOOOOOO obvious that they were going to go for a qb sneak.

So annoying, if the coaches would have just let Cowan thrown the ball and moved the chains during the last possession, not giving Notre Dame another chance with the ball, UCLA would won the game.

Well, I understand the decision to run the ball. At the very least, it forces ND to use all their time outs. But if you have to the run the ball, how about something a little more imaginative than off-tackle left and a draw. Then they finish it with a botched bubble screen that was rushed and screwed up because they couldn't get the play called in time.

Bad play calling and clock mismanagement.

Bynum with 18 pts / 9 rebs / 5 asst in his first ever start.

All that in less than 30 minutes

No Kobe, gave up 41 in the 1st Q, and the Lake Show still came out and showed why they are still a serious contender

Odom is going to the All Star game this year my friends...dude dropped something like 36/13 tonight.

nice to see Jordan Farmar get some playing time opening night.

Phil Jackson is usually scared of playing rookies.

I really think that is a myth...I mean all coaches a weary of rooks, but Phil has played rooks when they prove they can keep it together. I think we will see a lot of Farmar this year...especially if Sasha continues to throw bricks.

Let's look at the rooks that Phil has had. When you're winning championships, you aren't exactly picking from the cream of the crop in the first round.

Right...He did play Luke Walton a lot in his first season. I mean he has little choice with Bynum, both Mihm and Kwame are hurt. If Bynum keeps playing like this though, they both may have to play themselves back into the lineup because Bynum is not backing down.

The NBA has gone away from the traditional center, many teams use converted power forwards instead...Bynum is 7' 1" 285 and still a kid...Dude is going to eat the association alive in a few years if he continues to progress.

It also helps that he is personally coached by the greatest center (and player IMO) of all time Kareem

Now that Aramis Ramirez is a FA do you guys think he should be the dodgers #1 priority this offseason??

We need two things. A top of the rotation pitcher and a power hitter but what do we need more??

Ideal - Soriano, Matsuzaka
Realistic - A. Ramirez, Schmidt

What do you guys think the Dodgers #1 priority should be this offseason?

My plan -
Dodger have about 30M to spend.
Dodgers re-sign Maddux and Saito
Dodgers sign A. Ramirez and Schmidt

2007 lineup

SS-Furcal
1B-Loney
RF-Drew
3B-A. Ramirez
2B-Kent/Betemit
C-Martin
LF-Ethier
CF-Kemp

Rotation
Lowe
Schmidt
Penny
Maddux
Billingsley

Bullpen
Kuo
Tomko
Beimel
Broxton
Brazoban
Saito

Dodgers definately need a front line pitcher and a power bat like you said.

Aramis would be a nice addition. I'd rather have Zito instead of Schmidt. Although Loney impressed last season, is he ready as a full time 1st baseman?

The LA Lakers and LA Kings have one thing in common...

They both have great 19 year old centers

Tonight Andrew Bynum went for 20/14 with 3 blocks in under 30 minutes and earned the player of the game award. Besides those 3 blocks he altered almost every shot that came his way...kid is a beast.
