TheDamned appreciation thread

I'm sorry I couldn't resist.

The guy predicts a loss every freaking game and we are 8-3-3.

He never has anything good to say about the Habs and it's sometimes funny reading his posts.

I sometimes wonder if he really is a Habs fan. I think he needs his own appreciation thread for giving us a great start to the season with his pessimism.

And yes, I am aware this thread will most likely be closed soon. But I still couldn't resist

I will always remember his post about Ovechkin and something that he has become good enough to play on one of the Capital's top two lines around Feb or March of last year.

He's fine, even needed on the boards. I mean the blatant homerism of some posters is rebalanced by the damned. Besides can you imagine hf boards without him? For discourse to work, you need extremes on both sides of the spectrum as well as the moderates (majority of our board).

rebalancing homerism? the guy says we will lose before every freaking game. Do you know any other posters who do that? lol

It's not homerism to predict a win for your team every now and then

i was actually thinking about that y'day.

The boards would definitely be different without his special brand of "realism"

No but that why he's the Damned. He's no more ridiculous than certain posters claiming that Latendresse should have been a top 10 first round pick or that we're contenders. The majority of the board are not blatant homers but it's not like we have alot of "haters". We have one and he's gotta be a fan if he keeps on watching our games and keep us expecting to fail.

I really appreciate him as a poster. He is different but consistent too. And big deal, he usually predicts losses, he still cheers for the Habs like we all do, he’s a fan too, just a pessimistic one. I don’t understand why he gets the reactions that he does and why people don’t just let him do his thing, but I commend him for that, he gets reactions, and always from people that can’t lighten up or take everything seriously, it’s actually pretty funny.

The Damned is an eleven year old boy with autism; I'm just surprised he's able to type as well as he can.

The ONLY thing I like about The Damned is that he is a big kovalev fan, just like me. He tends to see past Kovy's warts and I do the same.

I would Appreciate if the Damned just went away.

Since that's not likely to happen I would Appreciate a cup of hot chocolate and a back rub.

I just realized...if TheDamned has any children, we have to refer to them as

THE CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED.

..that's kinda scary.

I wonder what it would be like watching a game with him. Habs score - ah ****...other team scores - see I told you they would lose.

I'm not big on gimmicks. When you know what certain posters are going to have to say before they even say it, it makes for a rather boring thread.

His posts became tiresome long ago. They don't really matter, he just says that we'll lose. That takes no brains or no effort. And he's wrong the majority of the time, so who really cares.
