Just listened to the Mets on the radio on the car, one of the announcers mentioned that during the Dodgers winning streak they have beaten pitchers with names including Lee,Harvey, and Oswalt. Thought this would be funny to share lol.
Still cannot fathom how Alderson got such a ridiculous haul for Dickey.
I agree. Say what you want about the mets FO but alderosn knows how to trade for young talent. Beltran is still a good player but he was gonna be gone after 2011 without any compensation so alderson was able to get one of the top pitching prospects and wheeler looks to be the real deal. Then he trades a 38 year old for the best catching prospect and a 20 year old who is dominating AA. I cant wait to see D'arnaud tonight along with Flores. Syndergaard will be here by june 2014. All the mets have to do is sign someone like choo/ellsbury and maybe get that abreau guy and the mets are gonna be a good team
BOSTON -- New York Yankees team president Randy Levine on Saturday challenged Alex Rodriguez to release his medical records to support assertions by Rodriguez's lawyer that the Yankees had misled their $275 million third baseman about the extent of his injuries in the hopes Rodriguez would be unable to play again.
"Alex should put up or shut up," Levine told ESPNNewYork.com in a telephone conversation Saturday afternoon.
… They did things and acted in a way that is downright terrifying,” said the lawyer, who claims the team hid MRI results that showed the torn hip labrum from A-Rod last fall and continued to play him in the postseason.
Tacopina also says team president Randy Levine told Dr. Brian Kelly, who examined Alex after the season and eventually diagnosed the labrum tear, that “I don’t ever want to see [A-Rod] on the field again” and clarified “it wasn’t a joke.” Levine, obviously, denied the claims and says the team is willing to release the medical records if given the thumbs up by the necessary parties. Tacopina claims they have copies of “very damaging” email exchanges between A-Rod and Levine that prove otherwise.
Via Andrew Marchand: Alex Rodriguez started the process of filing a medical grievance against the Yankees within the last two weeks. This comes the day after A-Rodís lawyer accused the team of essentially hiding MRI results and playing an injured player as a way of embarrassing him. Unsurprisingly, Brian Cashman stood behind the teamís medical staff while talking with reporters this afternoon.
