NHL GameCenter live on Apple TV 3 or NHl Center ice on Videotron

Hi guys,

I was wondering what is the best between these 2.

I really want to have NHL GameCenter on ATV3 because all the games are streaming HD, but some say that the game are lagging often and it's not working good.

On Videotron, Center Ice will provide me some HD games and all others, with NFL sunday ticket and some nascar.

Thank you for respond me!

I've been using hockeystreams for a long time and would recommend it over these two services in a heartbeat.

I think they might have a way to get it to work on an apple tv. Even then, you could just get a 40-50$ roku box with the 200$+ savings you'd have.

Good luck with your search!

I have this dilemma, I am moving out in September and was thinking bout not getting cable but getting an alternative for hockey games since it's the only TV content I watch. I was considering hockey streams because I wasn't sure about paying for proxy's etc but how is it on the consummation of bandwidth, how big is every game if I watch it in 720p approximately.

Also how reliable is it I remember reading about some lag or issues a while ago especially during the playoffs.

I couldn't of been more disappointed in Gamecenter Live last season. Even getting it for $40 I felt ripped off, can't even imagine paying full season price. I'm giving hockeystreams a shot this year.

If you have an Apple Tv and are a mac user with Mountain lion, you can stream anything (hockeystreams included) on your TV thanks to airplay.
It might even work with an iPad.

Edit: sorry, wrong quote.

@Overlords @MasterDecoy
What site do you guys use for streaming hockey? would love a good, reliable one.

I haven't been impressed with the two I use(atdhe and another, european one I can't remember off the top of my head).
The quality was very up and down; some pretty good and others awful. I also hate having to click on three links to find one good stream.

How to watch the Habs internationally? Help!

For all those board members who I've noticed posting from various locations around the globe (as well as locals), maybe you can help with the biggest dilemma in my life currently.

Am moving to India (Mumbai to be specific, so decent infrastructure re: internet) for work and probably one of the biggest cons to taking this very good job opportunity will be the discontinuation of watching every single game live, on RDS.

Though many people think we're transitioning and bringing players along, I will watch the team at the worst of times and am so pumped to see Chucky develop, Price bounce back (IMO it was that injury at the end, otherwise he was great), PK be PK and all the other million minor things we discuss.

Anywho, while I've used Gamecenter, even tested it in Mumbai, is that the way most people who don't have access to the game on cable watch? I know there are internet streams, but they're low quality, choppy and with tons of pop ups. My problem with GCL is that I doubt I'll ever get an RDS feed (maybe 5% of the time). Am I incorrect in that assumption? I can't bear to watch the away feed almost exclusively, particularly if we're playing Boston, though I suppose TSN would be great and CBC, well, I'm just used to it. Either way, any tips for me? Time difference will require watching the game the next evening, though GCL allows a replay (though I fear spoilers).

Thanks for the help!

Hockeystreams, my friend. Tried it last year, will drop Game center this year. You get to choose RDS for Habs games, no blackouts, excellent quality streams.

hockeystreams.com is ****ing amazing.

I only just realised the other day that on top of full, pvr'd games being available as soon as the live games are done, they put up 'condensed' and 'highlights' for EVERY NHL game. It's nuts.

But live is what matters to me and I've heard the product can be shaky, buffer every once a while and more often than not not the best quality.

Naoned, at what time do you usually watch the games? I'm assuming not live cuz you're GMT or thereabouts. IF not live, does hockeystreams archive the game after, like GCL does? Also, does it show the scores of the games or can you hide them?

MasterDecoy - how about you? (you're located nearer to my soon-to-be timezone)
