HAHAHAHA....is that sarcasm I detect? LOL.

You're right.....why panic and make a move that could totally ruin the chemistry of the team just for the sake of making a move. All the games so far have been solid, the goaltending has been terrific, we are scoring enough goals in each game and our defence hasn't been playing that bad either. Not to mention our powerplay and penalty killing has been amongst the top on the league.

So why on earth would we start trading players when we can go deep into the playoffs with the lineup we have now.
Wait until we lost 8 straight games and there is one or 2 players that were the cause of it, then move them....until that happens....keep this Red machine moving.

The only place i'm worried right now may be on the second line. And we don't have anybody to get that kind-of player I would want.

A little incentive for the boys to play hard?

probably a stupid thing to ask since I don't like trade proposals in general and I like the 2 goalie system

but how do you like ... or not ... this

Huet for Vermette

I would ask for much more than Vermette if we're trading our number one goaltender. Especially from Ottawa, who really should take whatever goalie's being offered to them at this point.

I wouldn't do that. I do think we can afford to let a goalie go though. I would lean towards Abby if that's the case. I would also like Vermette.

Not that i agree completly , but in a way , it's true that we are in a good position to do a trade ; We are good , we are confortable with the players we have , so that is the opposite situation of a panic mode .

It's also not that we have a big hole in the team , but don't forget that we have 4 d-men that are going to be free agents next summer .

Interesting , even if i think that both Huet and Vermette are more valuable in their respective team by now . Don't the Sens have scoring problems this season ?

Ok, here goes. This talk of trading is a lot of BS. The team has great chemistry, why mess with it. We currently sit 4th place in the conference and 10th in the League. As far as any trades, it would be total stupidity to trade any of our players in our own conference. If we're talking trade, why not go for one of the players in the West.

did you see Gerber lately ?

and Vermette played on their 4th line all season long last year and he's now playing with Chris Neil. So, it's not like they have high hopes for him.

? what kind of reasoning is that ?

if the Sens want a goalie they'll get one. You realise that whether they trade for Bryzgalov or another goalie they get better anyway ?

Only difference is that Habs trade no one in this

Well the Senators have to trade something back to whomever they get a goalie from and it could make them worse.

yeah but I mean they get their goalie in return whether that works or not, so I don't see the problem in trading Huet to Ottawa

It's the same reasoning that's existed for ever. You rarely trade with a division rival. I'm suprised this is new to you....
