Funny picture my friend made

One of my friends is a big Habs fan and she made this picture and asked her physics prof to make it an exam question.

While I think it might be a bit easy of an exam question, the picture is pretty funny.

wow way too much time while probably studying physics

HOWEVER....very genius way of teaching physics to somebody

Actually there's a mistake in the math...
Your friend forgot to take into considerations Kovy's inital speed, which makes Roloson even later on the save.
(I'm finishing my PhD in Physics next week )

10 m/s no?

Sorry, I haven't done physics since high school!

Yes, but forgot to take it into account; since the puck is travelling with Kovy, the puck's initial horizontal speed really is 10+14.1=24.1 m/s

What are your talking about Shab? TheDamned is a big fan of Kovalev. Surely it would make more sense to have said something like:

[thedamned]Kovalev is about to score but the Habs are still going to lose[/thedamned]

Kovalev will not score because he is clearly injured, he might hit the post but don't expect miracles!

Well Mr. Physics genius... it never states that his shot increases the puck velocity by 15m/s. It only states that the puckvelocity after being shot is 15m/s. It is an ambiguous question, though.
If you want to get into the nitty gritty then you'd have to take into consideration friction from air as well (and hence Bell Centre humidity, since they're clearly in Montreal).

Surely the mental factor can be translated into physics somehow!

Seeing Kovalev come in alone must be brutal for ones 'mental energy'.

Not if hes travelling at the speed of light.
