First impression is "too close to call" if we're just talking prime

Probably Modano. Altough I will wait a while before voting. Definitely close, when we talk prime-time.

Haven't given it a real look at all but my first impression was "too close to call at their best but modano maintained that level longer".

This is sort of the way I'm looking at it as well but Zetts is still writing his prime and had a very good season last year overall.

Just as a side note for the top 60 centers project, I'm going to ignore anything that happens in the 13-14 season, for the terms of that project it is up to the SC game last season fro all players and that's it.

A draw. Clark is slightly better than these two, and Feds is slightly (but clearly) better than him.

Really close. I could see it going either way. Went with Modano for longer prime (though Zetterberg could catch up) and being clearly the best offensive player on his team for most of that time where Zetterberg is often #2.

This thread just made me realize how much I miss Modano.

Which of Modanos primes are we talking about? His offensive output in the offense-era or his development into a more complete player under Hitchcock?

Almost too close to call. I picked Modano though. Obviously he's had a better career than Zetterberg, but prime only and it gets a little dicey. Both won a Cup in their prime and made the finals the next year. Both players were the most important piece on their team. I guess I lean towards Modano a bit because he just had that abundance of skill that we would see flashes of and he was more the complete offensive package. I'd probably be a little more worried about Modano scoring on me than Zetterberg. But this is very close.
