At this point I'm wondering if it's a bad or a good thing for his agility. But man is he ripped...
Keep in mind that people look buffier after a work out. And there isn't enough time during an NHL season to keep that kind of shape.

Just watch the first 5 seconds of the sled pull video and they are pretty friggin' darn apparent if you ask me, but hey, thanks for keeping count of people's credibility around here. Sorry if disagreeing with you made you uncomfortable about your body .

This one...or the one created after Alexei Emelin's shirtless training camp picture emerged

Exactly, very easy to understand, PK will look even better when the season starts.

I like how hard he trains. He must be close to 220 now (just a guess). He's really put on a lot of size for being 6 feet tall. Bulking up to squash Marchand like a bug next time he has his head down

Its teue he has some love handles but he also mentions he his in his period to get ready for training camp wichbi guess means switching training for better cardio and less focus on mass.. but I am no expert... btw he does wear a very very tight short and also love handles dont create that much problem to BigBuff Or Emelinator.

I never said it did either, it was just a rebuttal to people claiming he was surely the/one of the most cut player/athlete in the entire league/world when it's just absurdly wrong at this point in time. I never ever hinted that Subban wasn't in good shape, I'm sure he is. He always trains like hell and has a very strict diet.

Hockey player. He's obviously not stretched over 7 foot of basketball player, nor is he a professional bodybuilder. And like I said, I've even seen enough running backs so far this NFL preseason that wish they looked like that right now.

Subban is in amazing hockey shape for a defenseman (no one should be comparing him to a body builder or NFL'er).

Watching the playoffs vs. the Bruins 2 years ago when he was a rookie and seeing him shake off the forechecking of Lucic and Horton like nothing speaks more to his athleticism than any photo you can post.

PK is a tank, and I hope his training makes him invincible.

Fact is you can't be too lean for hockey if you are a big hitter. Need some cushion.

I'm actually interested what weight he is at right now because he was 220 I believe coming into last season?

if i remember correctly he recently said he was at 216 so i guess he reached his peak in mass. (for a pro)... wich btw is huge for a 6'0'' player.

Players generally lose quite a bit of weight during the season if I'm not mistaken, so even if he comes at the training camp at 216 lbs doesn't mean he'll actually play at 216 lbs.

I like how Pacioretty can pretty much jump over Desharnais.

Oh and this thread delivers big time!

I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that. Not at all. PK is a beast, but there probably isn't one single NFL running back "wishing they looked like him". Football players are a whole other animal.

Okay, "wished they looked like him" might be exaggerating. He certainly looks bigger and buffer than Roy Helu or Daryl Richardson, who are making runs at the starting RB jobs for the Redskins and Rams, respectively, this year. I could go through more guys on more teams, but I'd rather avoid elaborate discussion that makes this expression seem more grandiose than was intended.

And now look at the very best, and see what ''in shape'' means

SKOL Vikings, btw.

Lol having a bit of fat is far from been an issue. Like many people said, he dosent train as a bodybuilder, he need a bit of fat for more weight, more power. What i see here is pure power.

Fair enough. As a die hard football fan though, I just had to say something lol. And both Helu and Richardson are absolutely shredded as well. Every rb has to be. It's their job to live in the gym.
