I love Tinordi and all, but I want him to be a leader with the Bulldogs mext year
Yup, it kinda suggests he will return to Hamilton once Emelin is back on track and I don't mind it. Him being the ''leader''(at the back end) on such a young team cannot hurt him, he'll probably be playing like 59 mins per game and it will also probably be his last year in Hamilton. Boyyyy do I like how Bergy does this, no rushing a la Tenderness..
Very happy about this. Exactly what we needed. Stay at home, hard hitting defensman that can clear the crease. Toughness on back end is MUCH better now. Add in Tinordi and Emelin when back and we have 3 solid pairings with physicality and offense. Also have the depth to switch up depending on the team we're playing.
Great move. Anyone who says otherwise isn't thinking straight. Our d was soft as butter with Emelin out, we got a hard hitting experienced defender without losing assets. It's not like he'll get top 4 minutes and 1.5 on a one year is a small investment.
I have a hard time seeing Therrien not having Bouillon not in the lineup. So it will come down to Tinordi vs Murray at camp.
Well I guess we'll disagree, I know MT likes Bouillon but don't get he'll use him as much when everyone is heathy, I can see Bouillon spilling duties with Murray on the 3rd pair with Daiz, being the 6th 7th dmen.
I don't get how ppl think this has anything to do with Tinordi, we need 8 dmen, Habs always carry 8, Emelin is confirmed to be out to start the year, so without him we have 8 dmen INCLUDING Tinordi.
Unless he ***** the bed in camp, Tinordi is on this team. The Murray signing just puts Bouillon and DD to their role before the Emelin injury being the 7th 8th dmen.
Do you really think we re-signed Bouillon mid season so that he would be the 7th D? Bouillon will be a regular whether we like it or not. Also if Tinordi is not a regular then he will be back in the AHL. There's no point in keeping him up to sit in the pressbox.
I like the signing, you really need to be deep in Dmen in this league, and 8 men deep sounds right to be honest. Plus, I like it when young players like Tinordi win a roster spot and are not given a roster spot. If Tinordi forces Therrien and Bergevin's hand, then great.
One thing I wonder with the signing....perhaps Emelin's rehab is coming along slower then hoped?
I love this signing, thankfully we don't have to rely on Drewiskie in any capacities except if we have injuries.
Drewiske gets so much needless hate on these parts it's a little ridiculous. We saw him play average hockey for a tiny sample, and some of you act like he's the second coming of Alex Picard. No idea what he did to generate this much vitriol.
Drewiske is what he's always been - a good #7 or #8 who can fill in for short periods of time without looking out of place. The issue with him is he gets exposed when he plays too much, which shouldn't be a problem with our depth this season, hopefully.
