Unfortunately if somebody wants it bad enough they will find a way to get it. The good news is that most thefts are born of opportunity. They really didn't want your bike, they just wanted any bike and yours happened to be convenient. Even thieves with bolt cutters will bypass a bike that looks like too much trouble. Assuming you have quick releases on the saddle and/or front wheel you can easily take them inside even when the bike can't go inside. Oh, and a simple piece of electricians tape can mark your saddle height to make replacing it quick and easy.

Good luck with the new one.

Tessy, your family sounds like my family and we are only half irish.

My little bro got his nose broken innocently by a belligerent drunk. Turns out my little bro had threatened this guy with a pool cue and the guy popped him. The story I get from my mom is totally different from what my little bro tells.

Ha! Yeah I got popped by a dude while I was living in Redondo. I didn't ask for it though. Two drunk white dudes who thought they were gangster essentially jumped me while I was walking down to the damn 7-11. Nose didn't break though.

Haha. Yeah my older brother is impossible to live with. He stayed with me for a while back when I was living in LA. A few weeks into it we got into a physical altercation - I ended up putting my hand thru a window. Got a deep scar on the palm of my hand so I'll always remember.

Have you guys ever found something out, like a year after it happened, and it rocks your world to find out it took so long?

I'm not lying when I say this, but right now when I was doing a post in the "Favorite player from each team" topic, I found out that Sami Pahlsson is playing in the SEL. I don't know how I didn't know. Maybe I did, but I forgot. does anyone remember me mentioning him in this past season's GDTs against the Canucks? Did I ever go, "Gee I really don't see Sami out there, I guess he's been demoted to the fourth line." or anything like that?

Did you know the Kings won the Cup?

Not hockey related but I was like that when I found out Huell Howser had died. Although I guess my excuse could be that I don't live in California anymore and he's not really famous outside of the state.

Oh, trust me, I'm enough of a Ducks fan to wish I could forget the year from June 2012 to June 2013, just for all the Kings fans bragging.

Was just watching the Rangers 94 cup win on NHLN. I can watch Cup celebrations all day, with the exception of 2012. It's the most satisfying celebration in sports. Hell, look at whenever the cup is won on the road. Sure some of the home team fans leave, but a lot of the time, they stick around for the cup to be raised. You don't see that in baseball or basketball (football doesn't count considering both teams usually play in a stadium far from home), where the fans pour out of the stadiums and arenas like an ant colony that just had a bucket of water poured on it.

It's just such a magical moment.

While I'd imagine most of the active members have already answered that survei, it'd be interesting if we can get more Ducks fans. Like always, we're a bit under represented.
