Anybody hear anything about this?
My best guess is he's been invited to Anaheim's camp. NHL.com seems to list rookie/training camp invitees as part of said team's roster.

Can`t see any need for him. LW that is not known for scoring. Silfverberg, Penner, Beleskey, Maroon... We have LW`s

I'm pretty sure he was like 6 feet before but Nick Sorensen is now listed at 6'2. A 6'2-6'3 speedy skilled winger sounds good for Anaheim's future.

He looks like Perry's younger brother.

He was 6'1 1/2. He said he gained half an inch and 12 lbs this summer.

He could already be near 200 lbs without his knee injury. He didn't add any weight last year because of this.

Wow... I played hockey with Matt white and worked with his brother (half brother maybe?) at an ice rink... He never seemed like he would pull anything like that. Kind of disappointing to see really, he was putting together a great college career with some decent pro potential. Although if that is the case and all of this did happen, probably a good decision by the school.

Good for him. Hard worker, top-3 faceoffman in the Q... Moose are kind of short on centers though, don't take him for too long.

QMJHL

Brent Andrews, C/LW, Halifax Moosehead
Acquired: 7th round (202nd overall) in 2011

Andrews returned to play his third season in the QMJHL for the Halifax Moosehead and will be trying to improve his offensive game. The big forward has become the main defensive shutdown center and the team's best penalty killer. He is used for all the important faceoffs with an incredible 57-percent success rate so far this year. His excellent play caught the attention of the QMJHL coaches for the 2012 Subway Super Series against the Russians and he was selected to the Quebec team. It is still too early to tell but the good skating centerman could get the opportunity to play for Team Canada at the 2013 WJC tournament.

The checking forward is slowly becoming a playmaker by capitalizing on his opponents' mistakes and making smart plays to his linemates. He has scored five goals (one shorthanded goal) along with 11 assists and a plus-six rating in 25 games on the top team in the league. The defensive specialist will be a key player in helping Halifax to reach the 2013 Memorial Cup this coming May. Andrews is having his best season of his junior career and should receive an NHL entry-level contract from the Predators before the summer deadline.
Future fourth line center and PK center who's on the ice to win FO's?

Wasn't there some mention of us participating in a prospect tournament this year? If so, does anyone know when it's scheduled to take place?

September 7th and 9th, I believe. I think it's one game at their facility, and one at ours.

I played against brent growing up. Seems to have been doing great in Halifax although that team was stacked. Works hard but an NHL future seems like a bit of a stretch.

Looks like another island boy is coming to ducks camp as well. Ross Johnston, best known for his stick swinging incident. Tough as Nails and has a little bit of a scoring touch.

Hello everyone,

I've been wondering - what's the story with Mat Clark? I know he's a very solid AHL d-man, but does he have any chance of cracking the NHL?

He's a bit of a project, but I think he can make it. At the moment, I'd say that his skating needs to improve a bit. He also needs to polish his transition game.

I don't think it's been posted here, but Andy Welinski made the WCHA's all-rookie team:
