Wasn't Denis Fakhrutdinov on the Loko team at some point in the past? Is he related to Dimitri or Artur Fakhrutdinov? I think it is questionable to see him on the team, regardless of whether he is the son of the coach or not.

Cherepanov is really really impressive. I did not expect so much from him in Superleague to be honest. Funny to see the comparative trajectories of him, Averin and Mikov over the past 3-4 years. That Omsk 89 team was really really strong with those guys, Dadonov, Fedin, Kolesnikov, Seleznev, Sotnikov)

Yes, Loko was punished because of his fake birth certificate. His father was a coach for Loko at that moment.

Both are indeed doing well. As anticipated, Kirill Polozov (Ufa) and Alexei Avtaev (Omsk) are also having a good tournament.

The 1990 team started off very well at the tournament in the U.S., whereas the 1989 team did poorly.

Keep in mind the '89 squad is playing against competition who are mainly comprised of 87's and 88's.

It doesn't really matter they compete 1987 and 1988 borns. If they are really good and want to have a chance to join Junior team of Kanareykin they must win in games agaisnt the guys who 1 or 2 years older. I'm not speaking about the whole team. But leaders of the team must. IMO

The teams are regional teams (it is the Russian championship of regions if you want). Kuchin plays on the Moscow team, Kitsyn and Avtaev on the Sibir team, Polozov on the Povolzhie team. Kuchin usually plays for CSKA Moscow, Kitsyn for Metallurg Novokuznetsk, Polozov for Salavat Yulaev Ufa, and Avtaev for Avangard Omsk.

Yes, and they led their two teams to the top 2 spots of the tournament.

The 1990 team won 10-1 yesterday against Slovakia and plays in the final against the U.S. tonight.

Russia came back from a 4 goal deficit to beat USA to win the u-17 4-nations.
Petrov scored in OT. 7 goals in 4 games for Filatov.

Nobody on this U17 team that might be available....OHL Scouts were drooling over some of these guys and I mean DROOLING...

It's evident that by now many of the U-17 boys with their agents and have bright future in top senior league in Russia. NHL will have to wait 2-3 years more to get Russian talents...

After 3 games, Kitsyn is 1+1=2
Same for Kuchin (and Filatov, who are playing on the same line), but after 2 games.
