It's a shame Bobby Ryan is American, otherwise he'd be a shoe-in for the CFL's "Most Outstanding Canadian" award.

Should be interesting to see if he out-produces Kessel.

I think he's going to be a great performer for the team. I think he gets 42 Goals and 35 Assists this season.

Bobby Ryan has the potential to be the highest scoring American in NHL history. He's could be a 50 goal scorer multiple times. Playing with Spezza will amazing to watch. Sens could be a very good team for a long time. a lot of young guys getting their feet wet in the NHL and with a few of their best players who were injured last year (Spezza, Michalek, Karlsson, Cowen, Anderson) they still made the playoffs and they will will be way better with those guys healthy. Lehner is ready to take over in net and to me, they are a legit cup contender for a few years to come for sure

My new rival Pacioretty is the assigned seat next to me at USA dinner... Is it ok to kick his chair out as he sits down

I don't see Bobby Ryan surpassing Brett Hull's 741 goals.

Well, obviously... he's going to eclipse that total, surpass is nowhere near strong enough.

I hope he meets or exceeds your expectations, but how did that formula work out for Turris last year?

Completely different situation. In that case, it's a second line Center being thrust into a first line role.

In Ryan's case, it's a first line winger, being thrust into a first line role with a first line center.

He led the team in scoring.

He scored 6 goals in 10 playoff games. Best shooting percentage in the post-season.

If he brings anything close to this

I'll be a happy camper...

Can't wait to see Ryan, Spezza, and Karlsson combine on some ridiculous goals this year

I'm wondering if Maclean doesn't line Ryan up next to Turris to spread out the scoring, then put him on the top line when they are down in games, like he did with Alfredsson.

That completely defeats the purpose of Murray getting Ryan. He said the biggest need was a legit first line winger. Why trade for one, then not play him with our legit number 1 Center.

no actually, he was born in the US. Thus playing for the US and thus his dual citizenship.
