OT - Ottawa Fury FC proposed jersey/kits

Ottawa Fury FC have released their three jersey/kit ideas for fan voting.

Be sure to have your say here: http://www.ottawafuryfc.com/index.ph...L=KitSelection

Personally don't dislike any of them, but the middle one with the straight front stripe looks top quality and world class definitely. Kinda makes me think MLS more than NASL which is where we all want this team to get some day.

First one looks best to me. The ad kind of ruins the look of the middle one.

Well unfortunately big ads are gonna be part of the deal no matter which design is selected.

I think it looks best with the stripe; though I agree the first looks second best. The third looks like an after thought.

Third one is the worst. So I have a feeling that Jeff Hunt will overrule everyone and select that one.

First is awesome. Very Crystal Palace.

Second is so so. Too PSG-ish if you ask me.

Third is awful.

First looks more like feyenoord.

Logo really sucks as the name. There is no history to it. History in the name gets respect right away. Right now it is a fail at all ends of the field from the beginning.
The team should be named as FC Bytown. Right away respect and admiration.

The emblem should resemble the Bytown crest.

Soccer or football is all about traditions and history. No tradition no team. It will take a long long time to establish it.

I think option 1 would make it hard to wear distinguishing kits against some teams, depending which side you're on it could be hard to tell who's who if you're playing another team with red/white/black kits. If they were going that route though, they should match the sock colours to the rest of the jersey, one white and one red/black

I like the one with the stripe. The others look very generic.

Whoa, take it easy. The team is already named and all that. No sense sticking up your nose at this point. I think Bytown is great too, and I would prefer it, but there's no sense to sour grapes now.

#1 looks unreal. Feyenoord style is awesome. Seems that the stripe is quite popular though, but it's second to the first option IMO.

Ottawa Fury have been around for a bit longer than a minute.

Do you think your average 18-25 year old is going to associate anything with Bytown? You don't force tradition and history. You start your own.

In a weird way, I'm almost as excited for the NASL season and the Ottawa Fury as I am for the Redblacks.

Can you imagine if Ottawa blows away MLS management in the first few seasons and we get bumped to MLS?

You're basically trying to create a tradition out of nothing.

Even Feyenoord had no history at one point.

But, you've never been happy about anything ever so I'm not really surprised.

Ottawa Fury was founded in 2005. Not many people even heard about the team yet.
And I believe it will be the main, if not the only tenant of the new stadium.
To answer your question, how the 18-25 year old kids in GTA will associate themselves with maple leafs then??? Or people in Montreal with habs??? It is a ridiculous question not to know bytown. Which is our history and that's how local football team should be only named to win as many hearts as possible. Thatís why we have sens. Traditions make fans, not the stupid names as ducks or fury and many others.
