Blidh goes from extra forward to taking a spot on the fourth line tonight.

Subban at the biosteel camp, starts around the :58 second mark. Makes some nice saves later on in the video.

Looks like Linus Arnesson will have a solid role on Djurgårdens team this year. He is the only defenseman in our entire team who is considered a defensive defenseman, and he is probably the only one who can play physical as well. None of the other top guys on our d-man core can. So Linus is gonna have a big defensive role this year. Playing many tough minutes and the first one out on the PK every time. So dont let his lack of points and probably not a very good +/- fool you. He is taking a big defensive role and it's probably gonna hurt his stats.

Thank you very much for this.

Will you keep us up to date on his progress occasionally? Good or bad, it's all good to hear. For those of us who never get exposed, we rely so heavily on eyes overseas for information on some of our prospects. Your contributions would be appreciated by myself and countless others who frequent here.

Sure I'll try to stop by every 10-15th game or so. And remember that Linus is eligible for the world juniors this year too. He was a year younger than the rest last season. So you will get to see him there for sure.

Posted this in the Seguin trade thread, thought it might be of interest to those here:

http://www.hockeyprospectus.com/arti...articleid=1426

B's with 4 players in Pronman's Top 50 Prospects from back in January now with Morrow in the system. A little old, but interesting to see that while we might be a little bare at the top end, seems like B's have a good # of 2nd tier talent. Kind of coincides with the seemingly automatic 2nd round success this team has had in the last decade or so.

As you may know, Peter Cehlarik is on loan to Asploven in Swedish Allsvenskan. What i have read he has played solid. And the staff know he will play even better. He gets a lot of ice-time and plays in PP.
I think its better for his development to play in Asploven were he gets much ice-time and being a leading player, than play in Lulea were he wont get the same important role.
Here is highlights from the game Asploven-Malmo. The video starts when Cehlarik #21 makes a nice pass to Bryggmark (who also is a Lulea loan) who scores.

Here's a sneak preview of the comprehensive preseason Bruins prospects review that will post on the New England Hockey Journal website this week and next in three parts.

Adam Morrison, G
Upside:
With ideal size at 6-foot-3 and a great attitude, everyone would like to see this free agent pickup and former third-round pick by the Flyers in 2009 succeed in Boston. When on top of his game, he plays a polished, fundamentally sound butterfly style with good positioning on his angles, giving opponents very little to shoot at.

Downside: Morrison is an enigma: the British Columbia native has impressive physical tools, which got him drafted 61st overall, but then regressed in his development, only emerging as a WHL star after the Flyers opted not to sign him. He will go through periods where he alternates between looking like a brick wall and being unable to stop a muskmelon.

Outlook: Like former B’s prospect Mike Hutchinson (since signed with Winnipeg), Morrison’s biggest issue is a lack of consistency, and he has yet to establish himself as a capable starter even at the ECHL level. Until he can do that, there is little use of discussing a viable NHL future, at least not in Boston, given the team’s depth chart at present.

Dempsey is the only Bruins prospect in the CHL, correct? Not much to follow after having many OHLers in recent years. One assist in one game (they won 10-3) so far.

I'm going to be so bored this season - well not really.

Former first round pick has had injury problems his first two years. This year will tell the tale for Dempsey.

Peter Kneulman ‏@PeterKneulman 21 Sep
May have been the best period of hockey I have seen out of Mitchell Dempsey.

No, SHL formerly SEL is the top league. Allsvenskan is the second league which Soderberg kept playing in to play for his hometown team earlier in his career. Cehlarik finished last year in the SHL and is on loan right now.

I'm not sure if anyone has reported this but "Toronto Maple Leafs traded Joe Colborne to the Calgary Flames for a fourth-round draft-pick in 2014".

I apologize if this was previously posted but I thought It was a terrific outlook on our prospects. From Dougie Hamilton to lesser known prospects{at least to me}I took 2 hours studied each player, what a better pastime, love it..I was really impressed with Seth Griffith and think he's gonna be a real keeper.. Again, hope I'm not reposting and hope you enjoy this as much as I did..GO BRUINS!!!
