Insurance has limitations on what they can actually do.

Jagr vs. Selšnne continues (all-time goal scoring race).

The icing on the cake is Teemu is going to do better than Clarkson this year too. Sorry to get off topic. Great for the Ducks and Teemu. Class act and one of the best goal scorers in hockey, beautiful.

Is there a more universally loved player then Selanne? I don't know of a single person who doesn't like the guy.

Some SJ/Kings fans will disagree. SJ at least has some reason to, due to how bad that stretch was, but LA fans just hate Ducks.

The video is legendary.

I'm glad the two sides settled. No offense to Jets fans, but I was born in '91 so Teemu as anything but a Duck feels dirty to me.

We hate the Ducks but I don't know of a single Kings' fan that hates Teemu. He makes it impossible by playing hockey with irrepressible, child-like joy and being an all-around terrific guy. *******.

And still some guys get injured even while playing golf

I could imagine this was ultimately a very easy decision for him. Next year is the perfect year to retire. Play in the Olympics, one more playoffs in NHL and smash couple of records. But i think there's no way he would be coming back for another. This year will drain all of his remaining energy.

He means nothing to me, I don't hate him but never liked him. Tired of the off-season games every year though.

I don't in all actuality. Just see threads each off season, will he stay or will he go. I'm not annoyed by reading it, it just passively annoys me that every year he makes the team wait for his decision while they try and build something competitive for the season without knowing what he's going to do.

Gives a "bigger than the team" vibe.

Well, at least we now know why you don't care, but actually do care.

Money hasn't been an issue to Selšnne for ages, he'd only sign up even now, because he probably got his wishes through, such as, if youngsters don't earn their icetime, then they shouldn't have it over him, if he does well.

Awesome deal, awesome player.

I'll be definitely trying to watch a lot of Ducks games this year.

No, not true at all. I still remember being a little misty-eyed when he hoisted the cup. Anyone that truly loves hockey CANNOT possibly hate Teemu.

Sometimes you guys make it tough to dislike Kings fans.

Yea see! It's this kind of hate... the silent hate! Umm, it's the worst kind of hate!

Anyway, it's probably not hard to see what Teemu means to most/all Finns, but comments like yours are always appreciated and very telling seeing our teams' rivalries.

He's as good as me at golf. That's something that is reassuring to know I'm as good as something as Teemu.

Do hockey players understand that there are hobbies other than golf?
