So.. what would KoA do?
Have crappier looking art?
Smaller/Shorter game?
Don't go with Orchestral sound, and bad voice actors?
Worse animations?
Cut some key features?
Cut back on QA so there's a lot more bugs?

Keep in mind, that game scored an 81 on Metacritic, which is a VERY respectable score. Each feature you cut might subtract 5% from that score.

And data shows, there is a DIRECT correlation between these kinds of games, and meta-score.

But yeah.. a LOT Of industry figures believe everything WILL be shifting to tablet/casual.
Skullgirls is a good example of what I'm talking about.. Looks, sounds, and plays good for $2 million. Proportionally speaking I'm sure it destroys Street Fighter or Marvel or Blazblue for quality per dollar spent.

saw this on ******:

http://www.***********/r/Games/commen...mpared/caqdheg

essentially the PS4 is primarily built for gaming while the XBone is built for multitasking aka...like a CPU

although it says here that the PS4 has more power "under the hood" than the XBone (but we knew that already)

Yeah. PS4 does have more power, but the difference is completely useless going forward.

Nearly ALL games will be made to be made for both console. And the few exclusives are more based on the talent of the art and design teams than the tech power.

The one thing that concerns me about the PS4 is they took away an integral part of their controller hopes when they pulled their camera to get down to $399 for launch. Apparently they had a lot of really cool things planned, because the regular controller and the camera interacted, but a lot of devs aren't bothering now since it will be an extra attachment.

I really won't use Kinect that much, but there are a few features I will use for sure. As for the PS4 being more powerful under the hood....well so was the PS3.

My overall decision to preorder a XBone instead of a PS4 came down to a few small things though. Controller design is important for me, and I find the dualshock to be one of my least favorite controllers made in the last 20 years. Also I just have a very strange feeling about EA and MS doing a fairly large partnership in the future. Look at Titanfall, that was one of the best looking games at E3, and it's an EA title exclusive to MS.

The PS3 apparently was super awkward for developers though. The PS4 is more simple than the PS3's cell processor ever was.

The controllers look about identical now aside from the placement of the left analog stick...

And EA will do whatever gets them the most money. Partnering with Microsoft alone isn't going to do that. Titanfall will be on the PS4 eventually.

Uggh it was awful.

PS4 and Xbone both use AMD and pretty much have the exact same architecture. Ports will be super easy.

I think the PS4 might have better frame rates for some games, but aside from that there wont be much if any difference.

Yup.

Anything that isn't first party or paid a substantial amount to be exclusive, will likely be on both consoles.

Well... if they're not completely retarded. It's like leaving potentially tens of millions of dollars on the table in what's a VERY volatile industry.

Exactly. They've basically said as much already:

Let's put it plainly: will PlayStation owners ever see Titanfall?

"It's definitely not out of the question," Emslie replied. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.

"So yeah. We want to make everybody happy"

SF Semi's was the highest level play I've ever seen from Street Fighter.

That Evil Ryu/Ibuki was friggin Sako, though. If I could hit 1 frame links 100% of the time, I'd be there too.

I pre-ordered GTA V at EB Games in southgate. Does anyone know if they have a ticket system for your place in line?

They let you go get tickets for an express line at like 5 or 6 for the midnight launch.

Between GTA V and NHL 14 not going on next-gen I am really tempted to sell my day one XBONE and just wait until around March to get mine when the Division and UFC are out.

If it's anything like the original Wii or the XBOX 360 launch I'll make myself nearly $1000. Boy I love people with more money than brains.

It's probably Bill Gates buying the whole stock of them to make it look like it's sold out

I don't know how many of you are PC gamers. But Rome 2 Total War comes out on Tuesday. Probably going to be strategy game of the year right there.

Every console sells out it's first run. It's the second shipment that struggles (if the console is going to struggle), and there were fairly substantiated rumors about a yield problem with the ESRAM badly limiting early shipments.

Still, I bet molsonmuscle loses money if he resells. It's far from a 360 or a Wii.

I think you would like the changes made in the Dualshock 4.

Do not do this. It is a waste of time.

The lady at eb games told me to come around 5 and 6 to get a number so at midnight i could just come right in. The problem is most people dont pay the full amount when pre-ordering only a deposit. So I get there at 5 and the line up is at least 2 hours long and the lady working said this is normal.

I personally dont get the point of lining up at 5 for 2 hours. Id rather just line up at 11 and only have to make one trip, not two.
