First game this season I saw TT and it looked very promising. The team is still finding the right lines there.

Edit. though the game was still pretty poor. Preseason stuff.

1st goal: Gets rocked, gets up, goes to net, scores goal. I think he'll be fine in the NHL.

It looks to me like he ducks backward out of that big hit. I've watched it several times and he sees it coming and starts leaning back before the guy hits him. So he really didn't get rocked and he still made the pass, got up and went to the net for the tap in. Nicely played by young TT.

Can any of our Finnish friends (or anyone else, for that matter) comment on Teuvo's skating - it looks great to me and I've read some stuff where his skating is described as elite, one of his best attributes - but then have seen some other comments to the effect that his skating isn't great and needs a lot of improvement

Teuvo is fast and elusive. No problems with his skating whatsoever. IMO, these couple of last games has showed that his skating has improved from last season. He is one of the faster skaters of his team. And he's only 18.

In 15 minutes, TT is playing again. You can read live coverage from here: http://europeantrophy.com/live.php?id=278

How many complete TT games have you seen? I have mostly watched highlites, were TT has skated thru Prospects at Hawks camp like cones. Also, last nite skated thru center ice (avoided big hit) like cones. And most of 2013 Highlites were on PP- where he is fantastic- but really doesn't show skating skills. He does look faster/agile than others- so either the European's are weak skaters- or he is really good!

But I also have read mixed reports on his skating- so please elaborate.

thx

Last season I saw maybe 20 games where TT was playing. This season I've seen all TT's pre-season games. Compared to last season he skates faster and treats opponents more like pylons. I don't know how else to describe it, but TT can glide easily and he seems to be faster than average.

So, I guess the next question would be- How good/bad is the SM-Liga vs. Sweeden vs. NHL- in regards to level of play and skating. Once, again I watched TT at Hawks Prospect Camp last year- and either TT is that GOOD! or other Prospects are pretty below average!

To me the fairest assessment of his abilities are vs. the other Highest level "soon to be NHL players" at the WJ Tourneys- where TT produced very well - but mostly on PP.

TT has played 5 European Trophy games this season. 5 GP, 2 G, 3 A, 5 P, 0 PIM. He's the points leader for his team Jokerit. Not bad.

I took your advice and sent email- they responded a few days later with "website is not supposed to allow/take N. American orders" - some how my order went thru- and they said they would honor it. It would take some more time to ship though.

Can't wait to go to the Rockford IceHogs/ and Hawks practices sporting my TT Jersey.

Can anyone confirm/dis-confirm that TT will be at the Hawk's Pro-camp Sept. 12th @ Notre Dame? I have heard both- yes and no!

I noticed Johnson and Wennberg from Frolunda are leading Junior scoring w/ TT.
Have you seen these two kids play? How do they compare to TT?

Congratulations on your order going through! When you go to the IceHogs/Hawks practices with Jokerit TT jersey, I believe you're going to get a lot of questions about the jersey. And you're also probably almost the only person in NA to have Jokerit TT jersey.

TT was in the junior prospect camp (or on his way home) when Jokerit played against Frölunda. I watched the game from a crappy stream but I haven't paid attention on Johnson or Wennberg in particular so I have no answer.

This would indicate yes.

If you're interested, here's Teräväinen's last week's game against HIFK, the whole game (excluding 5 minutes from the beginning). As usual, TT is #86. You can see for yourself how the kid plays.

TT played yesterday against a German team Adler Mannheim in Germany in an European Trophy game. No points for him in this game. His team Jokerit won the game 1-2 in OT. Next game tomorrow.

Wow, keep these coming, glad to have the Finns on our side, great hockey nation, so small yet so productive of high end talent and role players as well as leaders. Can't wait to add TT to the team, which is just unfair, hope he works out at C.
