I would love to see a a U-23 tournament with all the young stars.

Anyway, what's your nation's roster? All 1990 born players and younger are eligible.

Aittokallio
Ortio

Vatanen-Ristolainen
Pokka-Määttä
Hakanpää-Jokipakka

Armia-Granlund-Pulkkinen
Haula-Barkov-Teräväinen
Rajala-Aaltonen-Ma.Granlund
Pakarinen-Salomäki-Hartikainen

Vatanen, Ortio and Hartikainen(only cause he brings size) are loses if we talk about 91 born. After 1992 we have quality players.

Finland

Teuvo Teräväinen, 19- Mikael Granlund (C), 21- Joel Armia, 20
Artturi Lehkonen, 18- Aleksander Barkov, 18- Erik Haula, 22
Markus Granlund, 20- Miikka Salomäki (A), 20- Teemu Pulkkinen, 21
Miro Aaltonen, 20- Henri Ikonen, 19- Toni Rajala, 22

Olli Määttä (A), 19-Rasmus Ristolainen, 19
Ville Pokka, 19-Sami Vatanen, 22
Petteri Lindbohm, 20-Jani Hakanpää, 21

Joni Ortio, 22
Sami Aittokallio, 21

In this lineup the wingers would be interchangeable between all lines and there would be several options to shift someone to center. If we're adding grit, we'd have to bring guys like Hartikainen and even Pakarinen, so in reality this lineup would never happen.

I'd say Hartikainen belongs there no matter what. Also, Vatanen would almost certainly have a letter in a squad like this. Maybe even the C.

Had to revise my previous one a bit...

Sami Aittokallio
Joni Ortio

Olli Määttä - Rasmus Ristolainen
Teemu Eronen - Sami Vatanen
Jyrki Jokipakka - Jani Hakanpää
Ville Pokka

Teuvo Teräväinen - Aleksander Barkov - Joel Armia
Toni Rajala - Mikael Granlund - Teemu Pulkkinen
Joonas Rask - Miro Aaltonen - Markus Granlund
Teemu Hartikainen - Erik Haula - Miikka Salomäki
Artturi Lehkonen

Can't believe I forgot about Aaltonen, he belongs in there. Also, Jokipakka was a stay-at-home D name I was looking for, but could get to my mind.

SLOVAKIA

Tatar - Viedenský - Pánik (our North American first line)
Tvrdoň - Réway - Jurčo (NA second line)
Daňo - Šťastný - Hudáček (Slovan Bratislava line)
Vandas - Mikúš - Hrivík
Cehlárik, Sýkora

Marinčin - Gernát (NA twin towers)
Štajnoch - Hraško
Čerešňák - Jánošík
Rais - Čajkovský

Nagy
Riečický
Šimboch

Considering Jaroslav Janus just missed it (23), it's good roster

PS:
Sandro Zurkirchen and Patrick Geering are 23 yo

So what? At the U20 WHC 20 year olds play if they're born in the beginning of january, not to mention games later in the season. The OP follows this official rule as well, metioning 1990 and later. The two swiss above are born in 1990, while Jaroslav Janus on the other hand was born in 1989.

Probably, but he just didn't fit my team-building philosophy. I'd classify Hartikainen as a stone-handed pure winger, and I left them out on purpose, looking for more skill and versatility from the wingers instead.
