Pretty good Law drama, good dialogue and characterization, but very predictable. 6.5

And the comics are about 5x better than the show. The show is, like how CS said: mostly a soap opera. Christ in the first season it's like they're camping, not in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. The whole point of the books were to show the desperation of the situation and how far past their limits survival will drive people.

Hey guys, great thread!

I love 24, Prison Break, and Homeland. I am a huge fan of mystery thrillers with lots of twists and turns.

Can you recommend me shows that you think I would enjoy?

It looks like the upcoming show, Hostages will be good, judging by the trailer.

Also, I like Game of thrones, how would you compare the other HBO epics to it?

I completely lost interest about halfway through the second season. Up until then, though, I was really enjoying it.

Reruns? I watched the original episodes in the 60's. Have the digital Blu ray series. Love a kids show with martinis, cigarettes, and jazz piano. Not to mention the presage of technology

Some of my worst memories as a kid were when I would wake up too early, and the only thing on the kids channel was Thunderbirds re-runs. ****ing hated that show.

The first time I saw that I laughed my head off. Me and my friend were just losing it, hahaha.

Actually I think it was one of the outer space or under water puppet shows. I think.

I added the spoiler tags in case someone who hasn't seen the show at all wants to get into it. I really need to read the comics though. I read the first issue and immediately got hooked.

You guys ever seen UFO? A British show in the late 60's but took place in the 80's. SHADO vs the Aliens. Their base was set under a movie production studio and had bases on the moon and under the ocean. The babes on that show were smoking hot!!

Yeah definitely re-runs. I thought it looked a little outdated at the time.

It definitely tanks for a little while after Laura's killer is revealed...but then I find it picks back up near the end of S2 and builds to one of the craziest finales ever shown on primetime television. It's too bad there wasn't a third season (and that the movie was kind of a dud).

If anyone likes their TV a little "off-kilter", watch Twin Peaks. I don't think you'd have shows like Lost and The X-Files without it.

It's a cult classic. It definitely has a 90s feel to it, but some of the elements of the show are way, way, ahead of its time. Great show. Probably watch it again sometime.

It's not really my genre. But The Fugitive is a classic. You could also try Lost as well.

First season was definitely better. But I fell in love with the characters (notably Agent Cooper and that dime-piece Audrey) so I loved it until the end.

The Finale was probably the best episode of the series. There are rumours that Lynch did that episode as a **** you to ABC because of all the crap they gave him.

My favorite will always be the episode with Cooper's dream...episode 2 or 3? I like it when the relative normalcy of this little logging town is invaded by Lynch's surrealist touches. Of course the finale is just one mega surrealist touch. It's really a shame Lynch didn't direct more episodes. The series definitely suffered when he was off doing Wild at Heart.

Episode 3 I think.

I just couldn't get through the scenes without keeling over with him and his recorder and any time he got fixated on pie or coffee. The guy cracked me up.

I just thought of another pretty good show. Vikings. Historical action drama in its first season and has good ratings on IMDb. Set to return Oct. 10th. Katheryn Winnick as Lothbrok's wife and shield maiden is worth a look.
