Pumped to see that incredible defence. They're just gigantic.

Man, how exiting is it going to be to watch Nurce and Klefbom!!! You know stranger things have happend, they could very well be the bottom paring for the
Oilers this year!! See how they look.

Agreed. I figure a thoroughbred like Klefbom is going to stick out like a sore thumb in the best way possible tonight.

Hey, thanks for this!

Kessy - Miller - Roy
Fyten - Khaira - Chase
Houck - Ewanyk - Abney
Baddock - Schaber - Bilckie

Klefbom - Nurse
Betker - Marincin
Gernat - Musil

Bunz

Interesting things about this lineup:

- Kharia playing center. Good. Good.

- Nurse, Marincin, and Musil are playing the right side tonight. All the defensemen in the lineup are LH.

- Riding shotgun on every line we have a knuckle dragger. Should make for some ear-to-ear grins every shift.

One guy I'm really interested in seeing how he does is Gernat. I have high hopes for him, but I'm still leery about his positional play in his own end. He's always struck me as a bit of a train wreck defensively.

Love how he handles the puck at the other end of the rink, though.

Good looking roster. Plenty of D prospects that could play on the 1st or 2nd pairings. Although our forwards aren't highly skilled, plenty of potential for 3rd or 4th line roles, and maybe a couple that could play a 2nd line role in the future.

Sure hope the stream is good.

Haha why? He's fully healthy and not going to get any healthier. Might as well get him started on getting back into game shape.

Like those forward lines way better than what Stauffer posted. Should be lots of fun watching our bottom 6 of the future bring their lunchpails and go to work. =D

Marincin was listed at 196lbs last November and Oilers site has him at 196lbs now. Bulking up his chicken legs was a big thing when he got sent down to Minors a couple yrs ago. It doesnt look like he worked on bulking up this summer.

At 6'5" he should be over 210lbs.

If Nurse can gain 10lbs of muscle in 3 months then Marincin surely could have in 3 yrs.

Yar, a very blue collar lineup. I like it though. It's paramount for the Baby Oil to go out there and physically take it to the the Embers tonight. Gotta crush the dreams and douse the hopes of Flames fans early and often during their rebuild.

Here's the lineup for the Embers tonight:

Elson - Monahan - Poirier
Baertschi - Knight - Gordon
Ferland - Granlund - Hanowski
Jooris - Reinhart - Taranto

Kanzig - Wotherspoon
Culkin - Ramage
Sieloff - Kulak

Brossiot

That's a strong lineup. Down the middle their absolutely solid. Baertschi and Poirier give them skill on the wings. Ferland's scary. Kanzig is a monster apparently.

I know what you mean.

Can we just rest all our players forever and just have a better team on paper??

He's been a pro long enough to opt out. Main camp is probably his focus.

Hah, I didn't even realize that the Oilers drafted Brandon Baddock. How did I miss that?

Well, I think it'll be archived for at least a little while, so you can watch it after the fact.

I don't believe they did. IIRC, he's on a tryout this rookie camp. Apparently there's interest from other teams to sign the fellow as well.

pretty excited about Klefbom's comments on how he wants to be an Oiler THIS YEAR. I saw him twice at the world juniors in calgary and he was the best dman in the tourney.

He could easily end up being our franchise dman
