Oh I know. It's just kind of annoying to leave him in the AHL for a year

Because he's a better player right now and younger players tend to get rated lower.

Most of the players should be in the 50-60 range.

50 should be the combined rating of our fourth line.

Beast.

Although he's probably being overrated in at least 3 or 4 attributes here.

When you consider that he's not even in the top 30 for overall, it would show that star player overall is more inflated this year than last year, meaning if anything he's underrated. I'd say he's proven he's at least top 30.

I can't understand how Benn, Pacioretty, and Couture are all rated higher then Eberle. They should at least be rated the same.

He's beastly in all the right areas of the game to be dominant if you control him:

Speed, agility, balance, strength, acceleration, passing, shooting, poke check.

He's gonna make the Oilers fun to use in OVP.

Pretty nice stats for Hall, in be a GM in 2013 after 5 seasons he seems capped out at 89 OV for me. He should be over 90 in his 2nd season in 2014.

Eberle probably has higher potential. You also have to consider that guys like Benn are better well-rounded players. He has checking stats and stuff that boost his overall rating, Eberle's stats will most likely be all in offense so his overall won't be sky high.

I kind of hope guys like Smyth have real low overalls, like 71-75 or so. Physically he's not there anymore, has no offense, just has a bit of hockey sense and grittiness (not what he used to be though).

The one stat that always bugs me, and in Hall's case it still does, is endurance. He's a 1st line player, his endurance should be higher than 80. At least 85 imo.

I get a bit of a kick out of Nick Schultz's overly high rating every year.

(Also tehe for Gagner > Eberle, but I'm sure Eberle's gotta have better offensive ratings and such)

Oilers should be fun to use this year.

Bunch of overrated players all around, happens every year as Oilers players are seemingly rated based on their past history of performance by EA. That defence core is strong enough to win you a lot of games in OVP.
