Awards:
Price - He'll be better.
Gorges - Will bounce back but not to his 2010-self.
Desharnais - Will put up 60+ points.
Moen - Will bounce back by being a huge part of the Habs fourth line.
Pacioretty - His shoulder will bounce back.

I could care less about DD tbh. We already have 5-6 centers right now. My choice is Carey Price.

He's my pick as well, with Gorges being another choice.

My pick is DD. He's still the player he was two seasons ago, I haven't seen a decline in his skills, he still has those quick hands in tight spaces and he was still creating opportunities with his vision in the offensive zone. Some percentages went the wrong way last season (965 PDO in 12-12, compared with 1023 in 11-12). His results should be somewhere in between.

IMO Briere and Moen's declines are real and will probably continue, unfortunately. After all this time, I still don't know what Price is - sometimes he looks amazing, other times it seems like I lacks focus - I'm not confident enough in him to predict improvement. At least he's still on the young side compared with the rest of the league at his position. It's been a long time since Gorges looked good paired with a non-Subban, I don't have a ton of confidence in him either. He's not bad, just probably not the above average dman we thought he might be.

Moen imo will be the player we all wish he can be. Gorges doesn't have Subban carrying him, he's just not very good.

I expect Price to be up and down again this year.

I disagree just for the fact of where he plays. He goes to the garbage areas around the net and takes a beating doing it. The fact that he is relentless too I see a 10goal, 20-25 PTs out of him.

Just when you get those guys who go to the net doesn't matter what size and does what it takes to get positioning in front those guys get goals even if they aren't pretty.

yeah uh Price had a pretty good season last season

I'm not hoping for a better season stats-wise, just hoping he can repeat what he did last year on a 82 games schedule and in playoff (that was the problem last year and it explain why everyone think he need to have a bounce back season)

Briere - Last season he was hampered by a nasty wrist injury he suffered in Germany during the lockout. Now fully healed, in great shape and with a ton to prove, I expect Briere to have an amazing season.

Price - I fear that if his save percentage isn't north of .920, he'll be ran out of town. Definitely looking forward to Price silencing the critics.

Briere, with HM to Price.

If Briere stays healthy, he's going to get prime offensive opportunities on a team with some pretty good weapons. Playing with Subban & Markov behind him, especially on PP, should lead to some big production. Add to that he's coming off of two dismal years, and he's gotta be the # 1 candidate... If he isn't, MB will have some egg on his face.

Price, for our sake & his, needs to make a strong case. He has the talent top be a top-3 goalie in the league, time to show it.

I'm a huge Carey Price supporter but he needs to take his game and team to another level now. Rask has done it and there is no more excuses with Carey. He needs to step it up!

I think Price will be on fire this season, with the olympics coming up, he will have the motivation and focus to take his game to the next level and never look back.

I also think Louis Leblanc will surprise us this year.

Moen, Easily.

He just has to score 2 goals and fight one time in the first half, and it would be it.

Heck! Even if he's in the stands, it would be a redemption.

I think DD followed by Briere.

As soon as DD signed his extension he kind of tanked. The guy is all heart and I cannot see him having back to back rough seasons, he really never has. Also having the Gallys and Briere who is another purely offensive player, will help spread out the offense a little better giving DD more opportunity to get away from tough match-ups, hopefully at least.

Price or Moen

Pacioretty was on pace for 75 points, not sure how much "bounce back" he needs.

Gionta will be at his 2013 pace once he returns.

Dd should bump up his production 10-15 points though.

1-Price-from mediocre to top 10 goalie
2-Moen-back to playing with an edge
3-DD-15-20% bump in offense, mostly on the PP.

He wasn't mediocre all season long, he sucked at the end of it. TBH, I'm sure his numbers would've picked up had it been an 82 game season. He had a bad stretch, that's all.

I still think he will bring his game up a notch this season though.

DD won't do as bad on the PP and, with PDO reverting back to a more normal score, should have better numbers than the ones he had last season. Might play marginally better as well. I expect a 50 pts season, or a pro-rated 50 points season, if he's used like he should be used (ie, 2nd/3rd center tweener, some PP action, facing 3rd best competition amongst our centers -- that means, often facing checking centers).

Moen? Just play adequately his role of defensive-conscience on the 4th line. No particular hopes for him this season, won't really bounce back.

Price? Being in the .915+ territory would be a good start. Just be consistent on a monthly-basis would be great.

Brière? We'll see flashes. The guy played mostly injured last season, no?

Leblanc? Be serviceable when called upon, and that might be on either of the 4th lines.

Here's hoping Carey silences all his detractors. The season depends on it.

My surprise pick for Redemption Story, however, is Louis Leblanc. I think he's going to make it extremely difficult for the team to keep him down in Hamilton. Watch for him to earn a regular spot in MTL.

All I know is Stephane Waite better have Eye-Of-The-Tiger on his playlist. Another playoff failure and price will be playing in the sunbelt.

I look for big things from Bourque, Briere , Gionta, and hope Louis Leblanc gets some confidence and some luck.

I realize that all this happening is unlikely so I will put my chips on Bourque.
