How does that work? What color are the blue lines?

EDIT: After a little digging I found this:

Yep that's what I was thinking of!

I think any colour besides white would just make it harder for fans to see the puck.

Yipper to Phoenix. Watch Maloney's magic get 10+ goals out of him next year. 2 way contract, though.

New division names. Pacific, Central, Atlantic and... Metropolitan.

Seattle doesn't get an NHL team and the league twists the knife by naming one of the divisions the "Metropolitan." Heartless.

The Blue Turf is awesome.

Red turf at Eastern Washington not so much

I wonder if a team could use blacklight instead of the regular white papier maché. Opens the door for super awesome new lighting stuff.

4.8M for Gagner is bad enough but a NMC is even worse.

Can't believe I'm arguing with some Oilers fans on twitter that O'Reilly is better. It's comparable offensively, not close defensively, and OR is almost 10% better in faceoff circle.

UPDATE: The Wings will honor Nick Lidstrom by officially retiring #5 on March 6 when we host the Avalanche.
Interesting that they would pick one of our games for whatever reason.

Wonder if Flames will have Monahan at the NHL level this year. He's probably good enough but it's going to be a rough year for them and sometimes the deep end is too deep for a kid.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Bit of a theme likely to emerge when EDM and CGY open training camps in a week or so: Wingers being asked to try centre to plug holes.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
CGY has told T.J. Galiardi to work on faceoffs this summer, EDM the same with Taylor Hall. No telling if it'll work but likely to be tried.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
CGY curious to see if Galiardi, who played C in minor hockey, can fit in with Stajan and Backlund as Flames' top 3 centres.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
EDM, likely without Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (shoulder rehab) for month of October, will at least try Hall and Gagner as top 2 centres.

I'm glad we don't have that problem. I'd much rather be short on wingers than centres.

Maybe if they're desperate enough we could trade them Stastny for Eberle

But seriously, yeah I'm thrilled our problem is having too many centers

Zero proximity to any other team's camp probably doesn't help those matters.

Besides World Cup of Hockey, NHL plans to a run a Champions Cup tournament featuring top NHL and European clubs by 2016.
Hopefully Avs will be there. Though that would be a lot of hockey for some players.. World Cup, and this that is maybe 10 or so very intense games... regular season and playoffs on top of that..
