Gernat and Roy are the two lone bright spots for me tonight. Gernat looks really good, he's the only D man who doesn't look like he's about to faint every time he gets near the puck.

Just like in the NHL, Oilers can't get a call.

once again guys: young unpolished high end forward picks>>>>>>>>young unpolished high end defense picks. i'm totally cool with whatever goes on here, as long as the kids show some hustle and energy (which they do). heck, we don't even have an actual meaningful G prospect in this tourney. quit moaning for now, we'll have helluva lotta opportunities for this later in the year.

Platzer has got some hands on him. I hope he gets more minutes next year in London.

We stink.

Was that Baddock with the spin-o-rama? He almost pulled that roll off the hit.

If you're watching for some entertainment and a decent level of hockey, this game is terrible. Just because people are upset doesn't mean they are making long term conclusions about player's futures. It's just been crap hockey so far.

The Jets also have players like Scheifele out there - things would look different out there if we had, for example, Yak on the ice.

Our best draft picks are already playing in the NHL.

The overreactions are getting a bit ridiculous. I remember when a team with Hall Paajarvi and Eberle lost to SJ's prospect team a few years ago, what NHLers came out from that Sharks team? It's a gimmick tournament.

Well, this has been a rough time...

I told you guys that Klefbom would need some AHL time. His play hasn't been NHL caliber whatsoever, although that could change at TC of course.

Scheifele is so much better than any of the players in this game... sigh. It's just a fun game.

Klefbom is a season away. End of story. Blame the injury and the time away from the game but it is what it is.

He's fighting the puck like it called his mother a bad name.

I would say that right now he is our most nhl ready defensive prospect
I could see him making the team next year

I'm not gonna push the panic button like the rest here.

We've got a cupboard full of "meat-and-potatoes" forwards, trying to get one or two to pan out. The Flames and Jets are looking for their skill forwards which we already have in the high draft picks we've been blessed with over the past half decade.

What's disappointing is how rusty guys like Marincin and Klefbom look. These guys should be shutting down opposition considering the competition they've had in the past. Andrew Miller should be playing better as well if he's going to be a big contributor in OKC.

I do like Marty Gernat's game though. He's fleet-footed with a big body and an offensive eye. His game reminds me of Joni Pitkanen. Hoping he can bounce back from the year he had last year.

Our prospect pool makes me sad. I knew they weren't that great, but I didn't realize they would be this bad.
