Considering the lack of skill and potential amongst the forward group, I've been impressed with Khaira and Roy's play throughout the tourney. Both have shown hustle and compete while making some really nice plays in the offensive zone.
Khaira is a strong kid, that's a great trait to have in this organization. Roy hasn't been as good today but he's still one of our better forwards. Really liking Nurse's mobility out there, kid can really move out there. Betker too although I'd like to see him a bit more physical. Our goalie is much better than yesterday's goalie by the looks of it. Loving Kessy and Ewanyk always wanting to mix it up.
Nurse looking so much better and more confident than in Game 1. Good to see.
It's nice to see some competent goaltending. The save percentage in the first 2 games of this tournament was 0.813.
Did anybody notice who it was who came all the way back in the zone to check the Vancouver player who picked Pallazesse's pocket? Marco Roy is the correct answer. I read a scouting report on him from before the draft, and he is considered an excellent defensive player in the Q. I guess his coach really emphasizes the 2 way game.
Betker looks like a better prospect than Musil, although he did fumble one puck in his own end, and whiffed on a check at the blueline. Pretty solid prospect for where he was picked.
