I'm starting to get excited about Stolarz, Morin and Cousins.
I can't watch the stream at work, so perhaps the actual quality of play differs from my experience with this game in prior years. But don't get too excited based on this alone. Plenty of also-rans have looked sharp in this game. Michael Houser looked really good last time this was played, and did work his way into a contract with Florida, but still has a long path ahead of him before the NHL.
Also remember that only three of the Caps' forwards in this game are actually legit prospects. The other forwards are either camp invites or dead contracts thrown into trades (Stefishen).
Glad I just got home from work in time to catch the 3rd. Just going by tweets most the usual suspects are looking good, correct?
Scott Laughton had one terrible turnover on the PP that almost led to a goal but Konan bailed him out.
Stolarz, Alt, Noebels with almost flawless performances are the most notables in my mind. Morin just getting better and better.
Cousins and Straka got off to a hot start but went a little under the radar in the second.
