panthers in the market for a goalie

clemmer is having arthroscopic knee surgery and tallon said he wanted to pick up a vet. goalie. any suggestions, proposals? markstrom is probably penciled in as our starter.

Why not just play Markstrom as your starter? Florida isn't going to compete this year anyways, so why not just give him the year to get experience? Bringing in a good veteran goalie is only going to worsen your draft pick

I'm pretty sure he meant bringing in a veteran to be the backup goaltender. Markstrom will probably get 50-55 games while the backup gets 27-32.

Thomas makes alot of sense. Sign him, then trade him before the deadline if he has decent value

Probably Thomas for one year or Theodore. Thomas makes more sense especially with his powerful right wing believes.

If I'm not mistaken, he was invited to LA on a PTO.

Moose has made it pretty known that if he will play another NHL game, it will have to be in the immediate NJ/NY area. After bouncing around for a while, he doesn't want to move his family again.

Not sure why Theodore wouldn't just be brought back...

Hedberg would make a lot of sense if they want some one as a stopgap until Clemmer is back and can convince him to move south for a few months.
Thomas would make sense if Clemmensen is out for a long time, plus they'd probably be able to trade him at the deadline if they're out of the playoff picture.

Toronto has a pair of #1 goalie's
Bernier
Reimer

A deal for Reimer might be possible as season moves forward...package would have to be a forward prospect thats good...

My good man....we are talking about the Leafs on HF....Reimer will never be regarded as a number one... and Bernier "has not proven to be a starter"....

Not making a deal for anyone. We tanked for our depth and we got our goalie. We need one of the plenty available goalies.

Tim ****ing Thomas, where the hell you at sir????

Why not trade a third for Hedberg, then when Clemmenson comes back you trade Hedberg back to NJ for your third?

He could still be traded, it would just take a more creative trade.

i.e.

to FLA:
R. Luongo
B. Gaunce
2nd round pick

to VAN:
J. Markstrom
M. Goc
