I'd be happy with invites to Prospal and Gagne.

Think Prospal is the first time ever a player has led his team in scoring and then been released

Really makes you wonder that something has to budge with the Flyer's roster. Wonder what they do.

Yup, if I was Mac T I would be whispering sweet nothings into Holmgren's ear.

The Oilers would have to dump Schultz or Hemsky before they could fit Coburn in though.

And with Smid and Ference, I don't really see where Coburn fits anymore too.

The Talbot to Edmonton rumors resurfacing would probably be more likely.

Put me down for one of those. Even with one leg he'd be a boost in the bottom 6.

Having Gordon and Talbot as our bottom 6 centers would be a HUGE boost to this team

Makes loads of sense, but MacT somehow seems satisfied with the center depth on this team...

I know it's a little different, but I always think of MacT having 'full confidence' in Krueger a couple months before he had that one conversation on Skype. Hopefully he's as satisfied with the center depth as he was with Krueger.

If Oilers had Holmgren for GM and it looked like we needed help at C, he'd have signed Grabovski, Antropov and Lecavalier and then added Jagr and Iginla just to be on the safe side on the wings.

Gotta give that guy credit for not giving a tiny **** for common sense or prudent decisions.

That's not really the same at all. The equivalent would be calling about Coburn, and being told Talbot is available

And he ran a team that was a Stanley Cup Finalist into the ground.

Just looked on Capgeek... Flyers have a salary payroll of $80 million (not cap) this season if you include the Cleary deal.

That had absolutely nothing to do with Pronger's career ending injury.

That had something to do with it. As do all the terrible trades, signings, etc. He traded a 1st and 3rd for Versteeg in Feb 2011, in July 2011 he then traded Versteeg for a 2nd and 3rd. Trades Carter and Richards to sign Bryzgalov to ridiculous contract, trades Bobrovsky cause Bryzgalov is locked into said contract. All this while throwing money at any and every forward out there (although thats their position of strength), while continuing to neglect his goaltending, and he gets stuck with the worst tandem in the league (like always). Not to mention, he is always in cap troubles and forced to trade away players for salary relief.

You conveniently left out the returns he got for Richards and Carter. I'd take Simmonds over either of them, and Voracek almost hit a PPG. Those 2 alone make them better

Thats very debatable. Also I find it funny how both go on to win cups for LA. Hard to say LA lost the Richards deal IMO.
