Easy fix for offensive woes

This team needs more traffic out front.

Simply said, even strength, this team plays too much on the perimeter in the offensive zone. Instead of cycling the puck around the net and to the points, we need to get more bodies in front and SHOOT, while looking for rebounds (ala Bergy's GW last night). If we can do that more consistanlty, I think we'd find much more success in the O zone. Hitting the net on a regular basis would help too.

While it's refreshing that we've won 3 in a row, it'd be nice to not to live and die by OT every game.

I like the winning in ot, but if it were with the old schedule and those wins were against teams from the west, but going into overtime all the time, especially against a division opponent like toronto can come back to sting us if we found ourself in playoff position come march

In a recent game Muzz was in front of the net creating a little havoc when the B's scored. It was refreshing to see and it really made me wonder why they don't do it more often, especially now that they can't get beat up the way they used to.

It'd be a good question for Lewis.

Agreed. I'd also like to see every Bruins forward crashing the net. It's not like you can't get away with it nowadays. The defensemens hands are pretty much tied and have to let the opposing player go without holding/hooking/grabbing so we might as well take advantage of one of the "new rules".

The deal-breaker is whether or not the Bruins can motivate Murray to be a force in front of the net. The trade rumors did a good job, but besides Patrice and PJ,what forward do you know who can hold his own in front of the net and have a chance to score? Boyes isn't your answer, but maybe putting Primeau or Donovan in front of the net could lead to more points.
