You really think he is fighting like he did ten yrs ago just because?

The guy is 36yrs old and has never looked better. Both in the cage and physically. That's not from power 90 or flipping tractor tires.

It doesn't really matter though unless the UFC is doing random testing during his camp. That's the only way to find out if he is going above the normal testosterone levels.
He doesn't take any drug test in Brazil. They would never legitimately test him.

That's just as baseless a claim as someone saying GSP never gets legitimately tested when he fights in Canada.

It's also a bit hilarious to complain about how Brazil gives out their TRT exemptions when pretty much everyone can get them in the US. Including the guy who he just signed to fight. Including Chael Sonnen, who blew a drug test lest we forget. Still gets the exemptions.

Unless you have tested positive for steroids like Vitor did.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has suspended the license of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Chael Sonnen, after Sonnen tested positive for steroids, a banned substance.

A sample from Sonnen's August 6 drug test came back with a high T/E (testosterone-to-estrogen) level, which is indicative of anabolic steroid use. CSAC learned of the results September 2 and ordered a second test, which also came back positive for steroid use. CSAC received test results from the second sample on September 14 and suspended Sonnen two days later. He is suspended for one year. Sonnen has 30 days to appeal the decision.

Still gets a TRT exemption.

Chael didn't test positive for steroids. He most likely has used them in the past which is why he needs TRT now but that's not what he tested positive for.

Vitor actually tested positive for anabolic steroids and the NSAC said they most likely won't give him an exemption for that reason.

This. The sticking point when Chael was suspended was not so much his elevated testosterone, although it certainly was an issue, but moreso that he didn't go through the proper avenues in order to be approved for TRT. The commission was more pissed off that he went ahead using TRT without going through the proper procedure, which is why they reduced his suspension from 1 year to 6 months. So I guess the question becomes, is mis-use of TRT any better than steroid abuse? According to the commissions it is.

unofficial fight salaries according to mma manifesto. personally i think this list is wrong cause chael talked about a new contract and his previous contract was 50+50. not to mention i doubt they paid john howard 15g to return to ufc, i would expect 8+8

Over a quarter million dollars for taking one on the chin - life isn't all bad for Alistair Overeem. The Reems leads six fighters who took home six-digit paydays from UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun vs Sonnen.

The Massachusetts State Athletic Commission normally releases purse info from events held in their area; however they have yet to answer my request for this info for Shogun vs Sonnen. So, for the time being, the info reported here is unofficial. However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter's pay based on official purse info released from past fights. So, based on that info, here is the estimated pay breakdown for the 26 fighters that traded blows at the event (but please remember - this is only an estimate, not official info, especially for any fighters that made their UFC debuts at the event).
Alistair Overeem: $285,714

Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua: $175,000

Chael Sonnen: $150,000 ($50,000 to show, $50,000 win bonus, $50,000 Submission of the Night bonus)

Michael McDonald: $116,000 ($8,000 to show, $8,000 win bonus, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus, $50,000 Submission of the Night bonus)

Urijah Faber: $110,000 ($55,000 to show, $55,000 win bonus)

Matt Brown: $110,000 ($30,000 to show, $30,000 win bonus, $50,000 Knockout of the Night bonus)

Travis Browne: $90,000 ($20,000 to show, $20,000 win bonus, $50,000 Knockout of the Night bonus)

Brad Pickett: $67,000 ($17,000 to show, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus)

Mike Pyle: $42,000

Manvel Gamburyan: $36,000 ($18,000 to show, $18,000 win bonus)

Ovince St. Preux: $34,000 ($17,000 to show, $17,000 win bonus)

John Howard: $30,000 ($15,000 to show, $15,000 win bonus)

Diego Brandao: $30,000 ($15,000 to show, $15,000 win bonus)

Michael Johnson: $28,000 ($14,000 to show, $14,000 win bonus)

Joe Lauzon: $27,000

Mike Brown: $26,000

Cole Miller: $21,000

Steven Siler: $16,000 ($8,000 to show, $8,000 win bonus)

Max Holloway: $14,000

Ramsey Nijem: $14,000

Daniel Pineda: $13,000

Conor McGregor: $12,000 ($6,000 to show, $6,000 win bonus)

James Vick: $12,000 ($6,000 to show, $6,000 win bonus)

Uriah Hall: $8,000

Iuri Alcantara: $6,000

Cody Donovan: $6,000

It's pretty ridiculous that Brown still made 1/3 more than Siler although he lost the fight.
