I doubt it happens but I wonder if anyone comes in overweight this year? Would be interested to see the reaction from coach Eakins.

link to training camp roster. Should just post a pdf online or something instead of a stupid picture.

Bob McKenzie tweeted that the Oilers want to bring in a heavyweight fighter.

Sounds like a waste of a spot to me.

Interesting. Rimmer is getting a look, Palazesse (sp?) is not.

Macintyre, Steve

The Edmonton media was talking a lot month and a half ago about the lack of toughness and protection with Stauffer/Tencer/Gregor and others saying someone will be brought in.

My bet is Mac when Pit waives him.

Already 6 goalies, I suspect Palazesse was just for rooking camp like Baddock and others.

Media is crying for donuts and coffee hahaha

1. Rob Tychkowski ‏@Sun_Tychkowski 36m
I don't care what kind of shape an NHL coach is in. Ken Hitchcock never ran a triathlon in his life and his teams do OK

1. Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug 40m
Mandated by the head coach.. Media food is veggies and fruit. Usually donuts and coffee. pic.twitter.com/fcMphV5uDO

1. Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug 31m
People are kind of walking awkwardly around the table, peering at the veggies, unopened.. I think a full scale media revolt may be coming.

1. Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug 34m
I like, respect my fellow media members here in Edmonton a lot, But sharing finger food at 9am? We’re drawing straws for Timmies donut run

1. Gene Principe ‏@GenePrincipe 40m
New coach, new food? Dallas Eakins mandated fruit and veggies instead of donuts for the media.Going to be a long year

Fav response:

1. Copper & Blue ‏@CopperandBlue 27m
Remember, the same people that criticize Hemsky for being professionally soft are complaining about healthy snacks provided for free.

Gregor responded to Rishaug something like it being about time.

It's odd though aren't those 3 in decent shape? You'd think they kinda eat healthy already. Maybe Jones stole their phones?

I hope next time Eakins doesn't get the trays and makes them cut their own veggies and fruits.

The best is the key on the table. It's like the veggies is a dead alien and the key is there as a point of measurement

Jones nearly had a heart attack when he saw those mysterious foods from the earth on the table.

Everybody better steer clear of Terry Jones' hands and mouth for the day. (Is he still as fat as he used to be?)

@JasonGregor 7m
Ben Eager has trimmed down. Still big compared to rest of team but he's much leaner. Will see how, if any, that changes his on ice game.

I like it. Always liked Eager.

He's really a guy to watch. Nelson got him to play last year and with him now trimmed he can make things interesting.

Great news! I like that fact that Nelson got him to play last year with no wining, I hope he knows his role now. I would mind him and Brown on the 4th line together to hit everything that moves.

Return of the stache.

Imagine a guy like Konopka between Brown and Eager...
