I think a lot of team's owners value cash over draft picks.

just saw him yesterday with is girlfriend - seems he has bulked up.

Pretty sure he is going to get a contract once the season has started and some teams are desperately looking for some scoring....

Lots of teams go into the season with less than 1 mil in cap space. The Rangers do it pretty much every year.

Really depends on the team, and whether they're contending, or rebuilding. I don't think a team would pick him up specifically to ship him out in the spring. However I could easily see that happening from a team that's no where close to the playoff race.

It all depends on what he's looking for contract wise. But honestly, am surprised he still hasn't signed somewhere. I haven't read the thread, but I would suspect that Holland promised him that he would make moves to free up cap space to sign him.

Breaking: Damien Brunner won't play for #EVZ. Informed team this morning and said he won't risk injury because he's negotiating w/ NHL team.

Damien Brunner talking to 3 NHL Teams (DAL/NJ/VAN)

I see Dallas having the best chance of signing him. New Jersey has been rumoured since the start of summer so I don't see him signing there if it's dragged on this long.

Would love him in Vancouver, but he'd have to sign for cheap to fit.

Can't see him signing with the Canucks unless he wants to take less money...

I'd love to have him in Dallas... I've been watching the news for that signing since free agency started...

Not only do they have enough cap room but if need be I think Lou is more than willing to get rid of Tedenby if there's any extra space needed.

I would love to see him in a Devils uniform, coming from Detroit it makes sense for him to play on another puck possession team.

Like said above, would love to have him in Vancouver but he won't come here for the amount of money we can offer him which is completely understandable. My guess is he signs in dallas.

You would think that the bevs would be all over him do to the fact they are on the suck for years to come.

He told his Swiss team (EV Zug) today that he won't play for them so because he's talking to several NHL-teams,

Anything is possible! I believe Dallas should put some effort trying to sign Cody Franson. That is where we need help!

It is hard to sign someone who is RFA under another team. Also we don't need offensive D-Men. RW is an area of more concern, we have no sure fire top 6 players there. Nich and Chiasson are rookies, Cole or Peverely might bounce back but I wouldn't risk both being as bad as last year without a backup plan.

Brunner is better than nothing and fills a need.
