Shaw at ND

So Andrew Shaw just came to my dorm (two floors down from me) at ND to play NHL with one of my friends...

Bowman stopped by because he used to live here at ND and asked them who their favorite player was. One of them said Shaw so he made a surprise visit an hour later to play him in NHL. Shaw won the game 3-1 and stuck around to talk and take a picture or two. Shaw's a beauty and that was such a cool thing to do and I can't wait for training camp here. Too bad I got back 15 minutes after all this went down!

Sweet, though you do realize that all your buddies are going to be reminding you not to be a quarter hour late for the rest of your time in college now, right?

It's just a little bit intimidating going up against your favorite player.

That's really ****ing cool.

Too bad you weren't there. It's not your fault. No one knew that was coming. I guarantee you would have appreciated the hell out of that visit from Shawzer, Stan, Jay, etc. Hope South Bend has been good to you.

Something like this just speaks volumes about the organization as a whole. That didn't need to happen, but some organization members went out of their way to make it happen anyway. The Blackhawks organization is all class. Proud to be a fan and am never shocked when there are stories like these.

I've had a few cool one-on-one opportunities with Blackhawks personnel over the years, and hockey players and management are the best. If I wasn't at school myself, I'd be at Notre Dame watching camp. That's a damn cool campus.

I would have sent Bowman to the lounge to do my Econ homework.

Yeah it sucks I missed it but I know those guys loved it. Also this was all Stan's idea. He was the one who stopped in their room.

Agreed. That was very cool.
