Bad news for WR Cary Koch. He has been placed on the 9-game injured list with a knee injury. #Eskimos #CFL #yeg
sucks for koch, no doubt, but for the esks it doesn't really affect us very much now that bowman is back

You mean it doesn't affect the Eskimos' ability to maintain their current win rate. In order to improve, you need more good players.

The only memorable play I can think of when it comes to him is dropping that easy punt...

Well, Bowman is much better than Koch and it isn't even close.

Bowman is an impact reciever that can looked at on nearly every down in a checkdown. He's a reliable reciever that can be hit quick and will win balls that are 50-50 and in tight coverage. Koch makes some fancy catches but half the reason he has to so often is he's not a great route runner, doesn't get space, and doesn't get open.

This not even mentioning that with Bowman, after he breaks a long yac rumble, will make teams spy him with a couple guys because your average DB isn't bringing him down or covering him all by his lonesome.

With a 1,2 of Stamps, Bowman we're in the best position at Receiver since when Bowman went down with injury. With two premium recievers we can now more afford to have dimwits like Coehoorn and Carter on the field. A QB needs go to guys that can move the chains. AT least we have a couple. Henry has been good lately, Chambers as well.

His punt return TD was one of the few big plays the team has had this season.

50,000 passing yards for Henry Burris. He's only the fifth QB in CFL history to hit that milestone.

So we let 14 sacks in 2 games against the stamps.

7 minutes left in the 4th quarter and they FINALLY got burris.

unreal.

The official on the far sideline somehow missed an obvious facemask and then finally threw the flag when the Stampeders called for one. On the next play the receiver nearest to him looked way offside. Classic CFL officiating.

he's a heck of a player. I thought he did well last game if you consider his long layoff.

Bowman also does something we rerely see from an Eskimo receiver.
when the ball goes elsewhere he doesn't stop moving but will stay with the play as a blocker.

Watching him play will be something to focus on tomorrow.

anyone know where a guy can get brown paper bags nowadays?

Watching the Stamps is like seeing fate unfold at times. Had no business being in the game. Ticats were better at every aspect, and Stamps somehow stuck around through missed FG's, Ticats blowing chances, and magic uprights...

Seriously what are the chances of hitting uprights on a FG? I can swear between this game and Esks games I've seen this happen half a dozen times at Mcmahon over the last few years.

Meanwhile Paredes continues to kick FG's from anywhere. The stamps offense is pathetic right now and wouldn't have a pulse without Cornish. But somehow, week after week they ride fortune and get it done.

Just a continuation of last year where the Stamps won something like four games due to the other team blowing a field goal on the last play. Eventually the luck runs out and they get exposed, like in the Grey Cup last year.

and like the eskimos after their "remarkable" 11-7 season in 2011. once the luck dried up the esks were exposed last year for what they were.

maybe I'll go to the dollar store and get a nice green or gold gift bag to turn into a mask of shame, if I can't find a brown paper bag.

I'm wearing my autographed Sim Rottier jersey tonight in defiance of Ed Hervey.

who knows. maybe your buddy Kavis Reed will get a Danny Maciocia like promotion, and fail his way to the GM chair.
seems like that's how the esks now work.

I like Kavis as a person but have no problem saying #firekavisreed

Who knows, he may be more suited as a GM than a coach. But we have a GM who probably is set for a couple of years anyway.

This being the same guy you were high on mere months ago and believed steadfastly would turn the club around and to a 10-8, no, 12-6 record.

It just keeps getting better and better.

Are you actually surprised Ed Hervey didn't know what was in the CBA? Kind of reminds me when Lowe and Mactavish had the Oilers practicing on Christmas Day. We don't hire the most competent executives for our sports teams in this town.

Well decent start for the Eskimos.

You can tell both these teams are pretty bad though.

The Bombers lead the league in sacks. It's only a matter of time before they start getting to Reilly.

Now I know what it feels like for other teams when they play the Eskimos.
