I'm contemplating going again tomorrow morning for the first session. I'll bring my camera this time. It will only be for the first session again though.

Raffl on the third line could be just the ticket.

I might go Saturday, would be a great time to bust out the new camera with the zoom lens. Hopefully I can get some nice shots in.

No. It has been changed again.

Also, according to Tim P.: Chris VandeVelde was signed to a minor league deal.

Lecavalier looked great today. He, Simmonds, and Hartnell had some nice chemistry out there.

I think the writers were saying that Vinny told them he really liked playing with Simmonds.

That line could be killer. Score on ya or kick the piss out of ya, your choice

Leave Brayden with G and V and hope he turns into a stud winger .

Vinny and Simmer could be an awesome combo.

They'd dominate below the circles.

Great article on Lecavalier.

"I'm excited to come to a game here and they can actually cheer for us and not against me," Vincent Lecavalier said of playing in Philadelphia.

Yeah, I think he said he's like 207. He'll probably end up at around 220ish when all is said and done.

So do we think stolarz will play another year in the ohl after this season, or will he make the jump to the phantoms for 14-15?

I think he makes the jump, London's probably losing a lot after this year Maatta, Domi, Horvat, McCarron, & Stolarz all could be in the NHL/AHL for 14-15. London will be retooling while the Phantoms should be a pretty decent squad & possibly better if Hagg & Gostisbehere sign contracts.

He'll have to have a really terrible season to get sent back to the OHL over the AHL IMO.

Here's my best guess on the timeline for Stolarz:

2013-2014- OHL (19/20 years old)
2014-2015- AHL (20/21 years old)
2015-2016- AHL (21/22 years old)
2016-2017- NHL (22/23 years old)

Heck, maybe an extra year in the AHL but I think that's a decent timeline. He'd be entering the NHL in his 5th year post-draft.

That is of course if everything goes as planned.

hosting the memorial cup. and they have 2 young goalies, and they both played in regular season, ohl playoffs and the memorial cup in saskatoon. the answer to that question is if he progressives better than he regresses. london obviously has the goal of winning the memorial cup, and they have the luxury of running with the hot goalie.

He has the ideal situation in London. guaranteed Mem cup, good team and another decent guy to tandem with so the pressure is less.

On another note, a question for those of you who have been at camp: has anyone outside of the three most mentioned guys vying for the roster spot(s) look good? I'm thinking of say Alderson (who looked good in the rookie game) or maybe Newbury (who claimed he wasn't just going to give up and assume he would be in the AHL), or Holmstrom (maybe take Halls spot away?), Straka (who in the offseason some people seemed to think could push for a spot) or maybe even Akeson (who had a summer of training with his buddy Giroux.)

I guess that is question that should be saved unit after some preseason games, but I think after 3 days maybe some patterns are emerging.
