I hope Melart makes the team, can't wait to see him hitting guys not on his own team. Dude is a physical presence out there. Put Joey down hard right where I was sitting.

I'm 6'0 and there was no knee room.

Cam, Aleardi, Murray, and Melart looked good. Anisimov and Gaborik had a nice goal but other than that I thought they both coasted (same with Johansen). Fun day at the rink though

When will the CBJ make the roster decisions on who makes the team and who doesn't?

It will happen in a couple or three cuts, Final 22 or most likely 23 won't be till right before the season starts. I think it has to happen before Oct 1 when season starts not the date Jackets start.

I think that a majority of the cuts will occur before the 21st because Springfield's first preseason game starts on the 28th.

First round maybe but guys like Goloubef, Savard, JAM, etc won't be cut first go round, imo. While supportive of Springfield, the Jackets
aren't going to send guys down unless there is no reason to keep them around a bit longer.

The biggest cut will come after the game on the 18th.

BTW, tomorrow's pre-season game will be on NHL Network. Haven't seen that announced anywhere.

Was hoping to see Murray on Tuesday, hopefully he plays that too.

With that said, does anyone know if there will be a stream tomorrow?

I'm based out of Cupertino, CA right now so as you can imagine it's all Sharks and Niners talk out here.

I'm too busy recovering from an FCR sighting to offer any camp insight!

Just a few observations...Smaller crowds than last January (coming out of the lockout.) Granted, the first two days, W and Th, were part of the work week. Crowds seemed entusiastic...Many drills focusing on puck possession, cycling, etc. ending with the forwards getting the puck back to the point and then crashing the net. Some power play work (or shorthanded work, one could say.)...Looked like the guys worked up a good sweat...Overall, nothing but basic hockey. I'm sure the (secret) details are shared in the room and at closed practices. Anyways, it's always fun to watch professionals at their craft. The CBJ may not be the best, but they are clearly highly skilled and seeing them at work up close is special and gets one fired up for hockey season! Go Jackets!

Haha I was more surprised to learn my log-in still works, and i'm not banned!

I took a hiatus from the 2009-2012 Jackets for sake of being tired of watching them be downright terrible. I started following the Rangers as my sister team long before we started getting incestuous with the player trades.

I came back when we acquired Dubinsky. Needless to say, I really like this team of former Rangers and i'm very uncomfortable with the 2012 Columbus BlueRangers that have amassed on Broadway.

Very interesting lineup of defensemen. Looking forward to comparing and contrasting all the young guys.

I'm looking forward to Farnham and Bass possibly dropping them.

Do you guys know if Oscar (you keep the money) Dansk is starting tonight?

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has noticed Spencer Machacek in camp this year? Does he have any chance of making the team. IMO he got screwed out of making Winnipeg in both of the last two seasons, and he seemed to refind his game somewhat late last year with Springfield with 14pts in 18 games after the trade. Gritty team first player with offensive upside, I would like to see him in the NHL, particularly with a team I cheer for in Columbus.

Thanks.

According to this the Jackets will make 2 cuts this week and be down to 30 by the weekend.

My guess as to who stays beyond the 24 shown on CapGeek are

Savard, Golobuef, Jenner, Melart, JAM, and I don't know.

He's in tonight's lineup in Columbus, I think.

The new seats have exactly the same amount of leg room, but the cup holders seem to be up higher banging against your knees and shins.
