Nedved

Did they resurrect him or what...he looks pretty good out there...21 minutes and two assists...wow...from third line AHL to first line NHL in two weeks!

He was playing well before we sent him down...stats dont tell the whole story, especially considering Hitch was using him as a shutdowon man. He did pretty well in the AHL also, with 9 points in 8 games or something around that.

He is definitely one of those guys that if he isn't on the 1st or 2nd line you might as well not play him at all. As said numerous times, he wasn't being used right before he was sent down and if they give him a shot at playing offensively like he is used to, he should put up some okay numbers.

I wasn't complaining about him before he was sent down, and I'm not complaining about him now. While he hasn't been perfect (who has been?), he has not been our worst player by a long shot. I don't believe he deserved to be sent down.

"Private Nedved, you have definately been born-again hard!"

he's been playing great since they brought him up...i guess that time in the minors taught him some humility, gave him drive, etc.

He looks a lot better now that he is being used properly.

If only Hitchcock did this with him, instead of shoving shutdown center down his throat, maybe he'd still have his job.

Nedved has been great, i had to laugh and do a double take when he grabbed someone's face and just dumped them to the ice in a scrum, I think it was the one where Hatcher got pushed into the net.

Nedved actually hitting people. Seriously.

He did not play bad when he was sent down. He was used inappropriate by Hitch.

Dimitrakos is another story.

I agree with this post, Apart from some signs of apathy, he was one of our better players this season. Should have been Calder sent down.

I guess he's learned to appreciate playing in the NHL again after being sent down for a while...

This is totally predictable. He will score a bunch when you light a fire under his tail, but is streaky as hell. In five to ten games he will be back to mr invisible, taking lazy hooking penalties and floating around in his own end.

From what I have read and heard, he went to the AHL with the proper mindset. He didn't whine. Who knows what will happen the remainder of the season but for now he deserves plaudits for accepting his fate and making the best of it. He turned a negative into a positive.

I was shocked no one claimed him on re-entry waivers

I'm thinking this is something like the GM's agreeing to not poach each others RFA's. If Clark was still GM and Vancouver had cap space I'm sure they would have out of retribution over Kesler.
