It was a bad call that benefited Arsenal. They even out.

Shame that the Illini couldn't beat Washington, but no shocker that we fell to 'em.

This may be the single most entertaining Fire game I've ever watched.

Yeah, I'm not saying it was a good call by any means, but it's not as bad as people are making it out to be.

Just saw the Fire highlights..looks like they lucked out on an awful offside decision as well.

So how did ND just barely beat Purdon't?

I was devastated. Not because I like purdon't, but because I hate ND

I don't really care about the match at all, but i hate the idea that calls "even out". Getting bad calls in meaningless games =/ getting bad calls in important ones.

Well, not really such things as 'meaningless' games in the Prem. Unless it's the end of the year and you're locked into your position in the standings.

It doesn't excuse bad officiating, but to blame a loss on the officials is a losing attitude. Good teams overcome. It's why I was so exasperated with some people around here during the Detroit series.

Interesting post in cubs den about the cubs going after Carlos Gonzalez. Theory is the Rockies may be open to it for a cost controlled pitcher (shark or wood) a replacement for him (shierholtz) and a prospect (non-elite). I'd do that in a heart beat.

They definitely didn't get jobbed by the refs, their QB never kneeled. He just put the ball down, it should have been a turnover to ASU regardless. It was really poor clock management on the Badgers part.

That's not true and it takes about 3 seconds on google to find a picture of him with his knee down

Which is the exact amount of time you need to be able to spike the ball. They only had 2 so the point is moot.

What? He took a knee with 18 seconds left.

They still got jobbed by the refs not calling a delay of game penalty on ASU for laying on the ball and then again by more or less delaying the Badgers themselves after that. So, even with the Wisconsin QB making his mistake, had the refs been competent in either of those two following situations, they would've had enough time.

But, again, still don't care because I like seeing Wisconsin lose.

Exactly. They lined up at 2 seconds.

Not to mention, since when does kneeling stop the clock? I know they were trying to center it, but that still seems like a complete waste.

Uh, yes there was. A ton of whistles blow at the 15 second mark. Are you sure you know what game we are discussing?

It doesn't, the ref should have spotted the ball so they could then spike it. There was plenty of time for that
