"Good teams don't lose two in a row or three in a row"

Komo

"Good teams don't lose two in a row or three in a row or have losing streaks," said Komisarek, who logged over 20 minutes of ice time for the fourth time in five games. "The last couple of years we've always been a team that's in the middle of the pack and on the bubble of making the playoffs, but now I think we're trying to get over that hump and have a winning attitude.

"We want to be one of the elite teams in the conference instead of one of those teams that's always teeter-tottering back and forth."

Good quote. It's nice to hear some of the young guys stepping up, and eager. I'm sure it complements the Koivu and Kovalev types well.

Though, I do think Komisarek's been struggling out there recently.

Good teams also win more than two in a row.

That being said their seem to be a feeling on this team that they believe they are an elite team. They just need to watch out for those games where they mail in their performance, ala two games against Toronto, and the game against Florida.

Komisarek is getting more and more impressing

top two future defenseman for sure... I didn't though he would get so good so fast. He's like our Higgins on defense.

Whenever I think he's making a dumb mistake in his own zone I realize I have mistaken the number 6 for the number 8.

What does your statement have to do with leadership?

Nothing, he just has to say something negative in every topic he posts in.

What did his statement have to do with leadership? What does this topic have to do with leadership? It's not because Komo says something true to the reporter that he's all of a sudden a good leader... It just means that he's not an idiot. To whoever said he'll be wearing an A next season...I highly doubt it unless Higgins, Rivet, Souray, Kovalev are all gone.

People have talked about Komisarek's leadership potential since he's been with the organization, theres nothing new here. The guy was right though, Ribs is known as a player who had a lack of character, other organizations took a note of it, namely the Capitals who said it openly when asked about the Ribeiro rumours.

I believe Komisarek took communications during his brief time in school. It shows. He expresses himself very well. He has the knack of saying something without saying something. He's a good quote but manages to not say anything stupid.

I'd expect him to be in broacasting about 10 minutes after his career ends.

Shabutie, what I think is you pointed out the 2nd PP's lack of scoring to make you feel good about the Ribeiro trade. You will have to move on at some point.

The team is better off without him, like it or not.

Why are we still talking? The season is over guys. Lets pack it up. That loss to Florida really showed what this team is made of! Nothing!

I'm not sure that's true. The second line has certainly been less productive without Ribeiro. And it has been just as much a defensive liability.

How do you know that? The 2nd line hasn't been very productive; it hasn't looked better than it did WITH Ribeiro and the 2nd PP unit is looking far worse. All the while Ribs is putting up respectable numbers in Dallars with worse linemates then he would have had and started the season strictly as a 4th liner + 2nd PP line center.

The guy plays on the top pairing and acts like it off the ice as well, at such a young age. We have our leadership on D right there for the next 5-10 yrs.
Future Captain even at least Assistant probably as early as next year
