After watching the rest of the game my opinion remains:

Tinordi / Pateryn > Bouillon

>> Drewiske

Need to see Murray

Unless Diaz absolutely shines, hope Emelin bumps him when he returns

Collberg was invisible..

Galchenyuk was bad, hopefully its not a sample of the upcoming season..

Reway is intriguing, very great hands and nice speed..

Bournival wow, keep it going kid!!

Didnt expect much from MacCaron, Ive been very very pleased, the kid is still raw but you clearly see the potential..

Fucale.. Ok, I criticized the pick (wanted Zykov) but Im already willing to eat crow.. The kid is technically very solid, good rebound control and very calm in the net.. Hopefully he starts in the net with team Canada junior..

It just makes me sad. Oh well.

Tonight's game was entertaining, Kaleta is still a POS and Gallagher is awesome.

With the amount if rookies we dressed and the amount of goons and nhlers the Sabres dressed all in all not bad

I can't wait for our first regular season matchup against the sabres. Prust Parros Murray

I'm a bit disappointed in Ghetto and Collberg, but McCarré, man, what a monster! He might look like a full sized fridge, but he's quite skilled seeing the nice plays he set up.

Bournival was quite impressive too, its not just the goals, great hustle.

I was so hoping someone would kill Kaleta after that dbag dared attack Gally

Hopefully Parros and Murray instill some gentlemanly violence on his dirty face next time we play the Sabres.

Rosto is a great pick up for the Sabres, he plays like a vet out there.

In all seriousness, I think it was a solid showing. Fucale looked understandably nervous, but extremely skilled. Bournival was a monster, and St. Pierre is a tough kid. GP and Tinordi absolutely have to make the club. Still don't understand the Diaz hype.

Pretenders to the 6th spot: Drewiske, Tinordi and Diaz.
Tonight Tinordi has proven he can deliver.

I forgot Grigorenko was even playing until he woke up for exactly 1 shift in the 3rd. Then went back to sleep.

I wasn't watching the Sabres closely but tried to keep an eye on some of their guys:

Grigorenko - only noticed him once on the PP and obviously in the SO. So far in his NHL career, he's lived up to his pre-draft stereotype.

Zadorov - didn't notice him much in the first 2 but he played a solid 3rd and started looking more comfortable.

Larsson - I don't think I heard his name twice all night, honestly.

Ristolainen - looked good, played a solid game, threw the body around.

Girgensons - two great goals, lived up to the hype in a good way - smart player with a lot of hustle.

You offered a French quote in your previous post (without translation)..and never mentioned McCarron. I think he can be excused for asking. :-)

Based on tonight I am not sure Diaz can play with anyone.

I think he was being sarcastic. I don't really believe in evaluating vets too closely based on the preseason but yeah, Diaz did not look very good.

Who were the Habs vets this game? Prust, Galchenyuk, Eller, Gallagher, Diaz and... I think that's it (well, there's Drewiske, but I don't think he plays consistently enough to be a vet).

Sabres dressing McCormick, Kaleta, Gillies and Ott: yeeah, probably trying to knock out some players before the season begins.

Forgot my sarcasm font.

I am a huge Diaz fan and I was severely disappointed in how one-dimensional he was.

The term "Vets" usually doesn't encompass last year's Calder candidates

Hope Diaz is better than tonight. Only good thing was his orange stick.

You have to dress at least eight vets, with first overall picks in 2013 counting towards that total. We had Prust, Eller, Diaz, Drewiske, St. Pierre, McCarron, Budaj and Lashoff.
