Defence should be:

Markov-Gorges
Tinordi-Subban
Murray-Diaz

Best defence we could lineup. Period.

Funny, and so true. Although I thought HF boards traded Plekanec and Markov months ago.

Murray brings something "bigger" that our team needs than bouillon. And i'm not making a bad joke...

Once again, no, he's not. You guys talk in absolutes as if Player A > Player B > Player C. It's not like that. Bouillon, Diaz, Murray... None of those three is significantly better than the others.

If Thomas or St-Pierre find themselves on a first or second line rather than Therrien bumping Gallagher up, sticking Prust on the third line and adding Dumont to the fourth line, management goofed up big time.

Give me Bourque-Plekanec-Gallagher and Galchenyuk-Eller-Prust any day.

Isn't "no he's not" an absolute?

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. I think Diaz is better than Bouillon who is better than Murray who is better than Drewiske.

The Habs' needs, of course, will dictate which of them gets into the lineup at which time and so on.

Max dd briere

is this regime serious that this maybe our #1 line this year , and first wave of powerplay .

This line wont be able to generate anything 5/5 way to weak defensively

Thoughts ?

Wasn't a big fan of them 5 on 5, but I didn't mind seeing them on the PP.

For some reason it bugs me that all our right wingers are small.

Bournival looks promising, in terms of bring a high compete level as well as a commitment to fitness and strengthening. The team needs more like him.

Since he's our best C, just give Plekanec the best wingers once and for all. What did DD do to deserve the best wingers all the time? And what Plekanec did to deserve to play with average wingers?

Unfortunately much of our line-making involves spreading out smurfs.

I don't see how we go into this season with only Murray as our physical presence in this division. Tinordi's giving management a tough decision to make. Murray should help us out. When Emelin comes back, I do

Tinordi - Subban
Markov - Emelin
Murray - Gorges
Diaz, Drewiske

Trade Diaz next off-season.

Pacioretty Desharnais Gallagher
Bourque Plekanec Briere
Galchenyuk Eller Prust
Moen White Parros
Bournival

Subban-Gorges
Markov-Tinordi
Bouillon-Murray
Diaz
Drewiskie

some guy named Carey
Boo-die

I'm actually expecting 1 forward and 1 defenseman to get moved before the start of the season.

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Briere
Bourque - Plekanec - Gallagher
Galchenyuk - Eller - McCarron (Would love to see him get a 9 game try on this spot)
Prust - White - Parros

Traded: Moen (It's time for him to go, he doesn't have any role left with the team that White can't do better, even if marginally so)

Injured: Gionta

Gorges - Subban
Markov - Tinordi
Murray - Diaz
Bouillon

Price
Budaj

Gionta was just cleared for contact
Revise your line-ups for the forwards to something like:

Pacioretty - Desharnais - Briere
Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Moen - White - Prust

The only spot available will most likely be Emelin's spot until his return

Gionta should be back for the opener if he resumes full practice in the next couple days.
