Good point. Everyone just needs to realize that the win/loss doesn't mean a damn thing in the preseason.

It doesn't mean anything, but it's still disappointing to lose them both. Darn.

I guess Tousignant isn't carrying us to victory this preseason.

Just got back from the game I thought you guys outplayed us, I wouldn't be disappointing with the loss.

BTW Seth Jones is wicked good. Although premature, in a few weeks I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing "Jones>Weber" around these parts

A bit premature, but I know we've been watching several times where he'll go through four or five reps of a drill and never allow a shot defensively 1 v 1 or 2 v 1. He has a great snapshot at the other end, understands how and when to use his size, and uses his stick effectively in coverage.

I'm guessing there's no video highlights of these games any where?

Was Ellis on ice every time FLA scored? Or did it just seem that way? To his credit, it looked like he was in the play on a couple of Preds goals too. I think he was point man in the PP.

It looks like he was on ice for 5 of the 9 goals (2 for Nashville, 3 against)

Nice to see Forsberg throw a decent check before his goal. Didn't see any of that when he played for the preds last season.

1 set of games no reason to panic but from the box cores not much to be encouraging. Panthers are a pretty weak team. Hutton did nothing to calm any concerns. But one day two games split. Stalberg needs more than one SOG........

While watching game 2 keep wondering who 41 was because he was everywhere, forgot that Beck changed his number.

Wow, Beck putting on a show.

On defense, 46 looked better than Ellis.

Nope, I think he's going to be out a minimum of 7 days based on his reaction to that hit in the first period. Can't be skating up ice and looking back for a pass. Gotta open up...

I haven't seen much of this Jarvinen guy but man, he moves well seems to have soft hands and man is he big.

Admiral fans what's your take on him?

Even healthy, Tousi isn't more than a bottom six AHL player. He's got a lot of heart, plays a gritty style, but he never showed me the slightest chance of cracking the NHL while he played in Cedar Park.

In an interview on Sirius/XM radio yesterday morning, Poile said Rinne was doing well and there would be an evaluation made, but that he thinks there's a strong possibility that Rinne would play in Tampa on Thursday...

Seth what's your opinion of Jarvinen? Any chance he can jump Ellis/Bartley/Ekholm?

Also, with what I've seen of Beck, he's looking like a very good NHL player, might be tough to keep him down.

Being that these are preseason games and not much time in "training camp", I refuse to panic or say that we suck.

The teams that we iced on Monday will not be "the team" we ice when regular season opens. Most of the unknown guys are auditioning for a job.

After the first couple of regular season games, I'll then hope to know what kind of team we have. Until then -

HOCKEY IS BACK!!!!!

These preseason games are like any other preseason games, as long as your core players are contributing and playing well there is no reason for alarm.
